Nobody can pull off the "tough guy cigarette" look like Keith. I think maybe Mick's trying to imitate Keith's style here. Or maybe he's just having a smoke. Not sure

1972 by David Bailey, right? Or is it 73? I'm not much of a Mick-spotter but that is a good one.
According to the image file name, it's by Bailey 1976, but it's definitely from 1973. His jumpsuit is a dead giveaway for '72-73 (I believe he only used the one with large diamonds in '73) and the arm band is '73. Love that picture, with the naked lightbulb, washbowl and pipes!

Yes, the naked lightbulb is what sets it apart so well, and I'm not much of a Mick spotter either sssoul, but that one....sigh.

Carnaby - that pic really is striking. Mick looks like a prize fighter there after he's gone ten rounds. He really couldn't take a bad picture in those days, the same with Keith.

1973 with the arm band, the slightly different jump suit and the more "hollow" eye make up and the even more coked up eyeballs. 1973 it is.
