Does anyone know - what the source for these complete performances is?

Was there any new DVD edition of the 1969 Hyde Park show besides the common one with these songs incomplete?

Wow - for a minute there I thought it was Felix Pappalardi. Cool pic. Definitely the Cream era look. Eric/George/Felix.

I bought the Blu-Ray from CDJapan. It also has Mercy Mercy besides the 2 other mentioned above as bonus. And Japan has the same region code that is used in the USA.

NICOS, you do look quite pious in the photo. I'm sure your parents thought you were just an angel. grinning smiley

Wow, Felix Pappalardi, that's a blast from the past. Haven't heard his name in years. I had the Mountain Climbing album a million years ago. Just loved it, but lost it somewhere during my many moves when I was younger. Poor guy...so sad how he died....was it intentional or an accident??

Thanks man. Always thought Keith played open tuning something or other on SCB and he's in standard tuning yeah? Pity Mick sung the show like a dog cos otherwise (aside from Keith's guit going out of tune) it was mint! It's the most honest singing performance I've ever seen him give on "No expectation". I think he actually sang it as a man who'd just lost a friend instead of MJ rock star.

Was anyone from here at the gig?

Yup, for both songs.

I actually think SCB is played too fast at hyde park..even quicker than the album version. I do like it however, but was prone to mistakes...keith's hands must have hurt at the end of the song!!
I guess that's why they took a different tact on the US tour.

Thanks for posting that Deltics and I wish I knew how to do stuff like that ya know? This is why most of us long time fans love this band so unconditionally and why sites like IORR still exsist. The Stones rough raw and sloppy is what we've always loved.

While this is no doubt a historical show I can't watch this all the way through. Maybe it's the crummy sound but mainly the vibe is very dark and the tuning seems optional. Mixing and fixing Ya Ya's may have given them a template for their sound.
