The BU vocals on the studio version of Miss You are fantastic, imo.
Ronnie sings there as well.
Backing vocals on Just My Imagination are even better.

The Beatles were the best harmony singers (they got three of them), but the Stones with Jagger and Richards were certainly a good second.
Not to mention Crosby, Stills & Nash and CSNY.They're up there with the best. I saw CSN live last year and the harmonies are still brilliant.Quote

There were many great harmonies in the other bands as well.
The Who, The Kinks, (four great singers in the 70s), King Crimson etc.
The Stones were nowhere near being second best, but they certainly did the coolest harmonies, imo. The Beatles did the sweetest.

Check out Dave Crosby and Graham Nash onstage with Dave Gilmour in 2006.

In addition to everything mentioned above, Keith's backing vocals are wonderful throughout Black & Blue,
I've Got My Own Album to Do and all the Baby Barbarians and New Barbarians stuff
I personally have a particular fondness for his 81/82 backing vocals,
but he is just plain inimitably wonderful whenever he sings back-up.
