If you call the Ticketek 1800 number that is for disabled bookings and say you misread the web page, you can generally get through straight away.

Ticketek sent this out re Adelaide show.

I want my tix in my hand!

Dear Rolling Stones fan,

To ensure the final accuracy of individual ticket allocations The Adelaide Oval SMA is currently undertaking a seating audit.

Due to this the proposed issue date of tickets has been amended to MONDAY 3 MARCH via your chosen delivery method. Should there be any further changes, you will be advised via email. The Adelaide Oval SMA apologises for any inconvenience.

Regards,
Ticketek

This audit is due to the Eastern Stand not actually being built yet, seats were sold before they knew where everything actually was going to be positioned.
They have confirmed that those of us on the oval surface seating will not be affected, only those who are seated in the eastern stand.
Adelaide Oval SMA maintain that the stand will be complete before the due date.

Hyde Park stage not for Adelaide Oval?
Date: March 10, 2014 06:13

When the State government here in S.A. announced they nabbed the Stones to play the first concert at the new oval they stated that the stage is the one from Hyde Park last year.
Anyone have any info on this?
Of course I've been mouthing off and telling all and sundry but I'm starting to think that might not be the case.

I recall that it was said to be "based on" the Hyde Park stage.
Pretty sure it will be the same one as Abu Dhabi and Tokyo.

Adelaide concert next week!..smileys with beer

Two weekends - the 22nd.

Has anyone seen what time the show starts?
For reserved seats, how much earlier than kickoff should we get there?
Got my tickets, they say gates open 6pm but clearly this is early.

I'm a local, bringing my daughter this time so I can onlly go to pubs or places that allow minors, but I'm happy to filter any suggestions that come up for a meeting place with a bit of local knowledge.

Of course we'll need to meet up with some real fans to help explain to my 14yo:

a) Why the setlists are rubbish with all these big rocking hits of the 60's and 70's

b) Why the heavyset blonde guy only gets to play on 2 songs

Yes! One week to go! No word on support act or playing times yet. We will have the 7 day weather forecast later today.

Where is a good place to drink and eat nearby before the show?

Support on stage 7:15pm, promoter Frontier and Adelaide Oval cannot tell me who.

Stones to be on stage at 8:30pm, with 11pm noise curfew.
Advise to be early just in case.

It will be interesting to see who support is, apparently only AEG Live know, and they have NO Australian contact,

Further to the above, all co-promoters contacted state that the support has been engaged by the band itself and that "the Rolling Stones like to play this card close to the chest".

Would anyone care to speculate as to the identity of the surprise support?

Any decent acts in the country March 22nd that may be likely?

Maybe 30 Second to Mars ?

They bumped their Rod Laver date so Stones could play.

Could be a 'thank you' slot

There was no support in Macau, haven't heard about Singapore. I reckon they are cutting costs and there will be no support except for maybe Hanging Rock as the amount of time people will have to sit in the paddock waiting......

Who says no to Sir Mick Jagger? Not Jared Leto and his band Thirty Seconds To Mars, that’s for sure, with the alt rock trio moving their Melbourne gig out of Rod Laver Arena next March to make way for The Rolling Stones.

Promoter Michael Gudinski explained that there was only one date available for Mick, Keef and the boys in Melbourne, 28th March, and it simply had to be at Rod Laver. “We were honestly at a loss as to what to do. No-one wants to say no to the Stones! Thirty Seconds to Mars were more than happy to help us out of our dilemma and we’re hugely grateful for their assistance.”

COULD JARED LETO JOIN THE STONES ON STAGE DURING THEIR AUSTRALIAN TOUR?

Leto and company kindly moved their gig next door to Hisense Arena, with all tickets for the original show to be reallocated to similar locations at the new venue. Ticketek have announced that general admission ticket holders don’t need to do anything, but punters with reserved seating will receive a confirmation of their new seats by Tuesday, 17th December.

Thirty Seconds To Mars are touring off the back of their latest record, Love Lust Faith + Dreams, with all remaining tickets for the Melbourne show on sale from 9:00am AEDT on Friday, 6th December through Ticketek.
