i was really sceptical when i saw all previous reviews from past shows at Tokyo Dome..

I saw some weird show starts for Licks & ABB Tour: 6.50pm - 6pm...

Is that a tradition in Japan? They dont like to go out late?

The show is expected to start at 6:30pm.

The trains stop running around midnight so earlier start times allow attendees to take the trains home. For those like myself who shall drive there, it gives us some hope of getting back home before midnight on a week night (work in the morning).

Hey we all change and get older. It's not 1981 anymore. That bottle of jack for me got traded in long ago for ice water, a full night of sleep and plenty of coffee with a workout in the morning. Rock on!

I have never been to Japan before. My flight would land at 15:00, at Narita.
Do I have enough time to go thru customs and get to my hotel (is very close to the Dome) and still get to concert in time?

I assume the train is the quickest option.

I believe I have it all put together. Still arriving at 3pm. Thanks to many on this board, I have specific trains and directions to my hotel and Dome. Bought a ticket from a member in Sweden...should be arriving this week. The big variable will be getting thru customs. Not checking luggage, so that's one variable out of the way. Arrival on time and customs and I am good to go. Hope to meet up with some of you after the concert or in Macau and Shanghai.

Last time in Tokyo 2006 they was on stage around 8pm, but then they had a warmup act at 7pm. See the Tokyo Dome 2006 show reports:

Before that i.e. on the previous tours of Japan they were on stage so early that people came directly from work to the shows in suite and tie.

By 10pm the show might be over, so don't be late if you want to hear "Silver Train".

Tokyo Dome has a curfew at 10pm for a concert.
For a baseball game, drums and trumpets(Traditionally we use it for sports cheering) are not allowed after 10pm.



Guns'N Roses used to have a show at Tokyo Dome. Then its show finished at 10pm.
But there is no curfew at Osaka Dome. They played even after midnight.><

Mick visited Izakaya (Japanese style pub) in Daikan-yama with his family last Friday.
He gave an autograph on the wall of the house.

Remember the show start for the first Tokyo show last week was 7pm sharp. Be there early next week!

Today Sunday it has been raining all day in the Tokyo area. But they say it will be ok with no rain tomorrow Monday.

Forecast saying 4th Tuesday and 6th Thursday will be fine so far.
It is good for gigs and also queuing for merch.

But rainy on 5th Wednesday.

I go to the last international football match at national stadium on Wednesday evening.
Beloved KOKURITSU(national stadium) was built as main stadium for 1964 Tokyo Olympic but going to close and refurbish for 2020 Olympic.
I have to say good-bye to my most favorite stadium in the world.

This family event is referred to as the Doll's Festival because families of girls display
a set of dolls representing the emperor, empress, their servants, miniature furniture, and so forth,
on a five or seven-tiered stand.

You can see such dolls around everywhere in Japan today.

To mitigate long queue the other day,
a new sales outlet for official merchandise has now been setting up beside Gate 25.(close to the Korakuen station)

The Shidoobee site in America has a report with photos that Mick has been at the US Embassy in Tokyo for a reception and met with the ambassador and a Russian ballerina visiting Tokyo.

My Guess is Lwren is Jealous Again.
