I have received a notice from Tokyo Dome.

It says like this:
The concerts of the Rolling Stones are set for Feb 26, Mar 4 & 6.
We apologize for any inconvenience that heavy congestion is anticipated around Tokyo Dome on the day of the events.
The rehearsal is scheduled the day before and on the day of the event as well.
Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

I always comment on this - It's not neighborhood bully.smiling smiley

It's the way things are done in Japan. It almost becomes more than the gig itself, the buzz totally ignites the place. Best gig I ever went to was in Tokyo. Started at 9am, finished at 6pm. 15 support bands for the main act. Blew my mind. The Japanese really know how to host live music, better than anywhere else in the world in my honest experience. Sad that I am leaving this part of the world to go back to Europe on Friday sad smiley

On the surface it's promotion for the concerts, but it's also cross-promotion for the album and the band in general.

Have fun at the shows! I wish I could be there, it should be a great time there with the fans ( from what I have always seen/heard ) being the some of the most fun loving rockers anywhere in the world... and with 3 shows there is no telling which songs you will get, esp at the 3rd show. BRING ON SILVER TRAIN!!

Fun is a good thing to have.

There will be a NEW thread for live comments tomorrow at around noon time show day. I will make it when it is time for it. Then this thread will be history i.e. closed. Meanwhile enjoy talking about what will happen eventually at Tokyo Dome tomorrow. Get ready for the Tokyo-1 show!

PS. Tokyo time is 8 hours ahead of Central European time. This means, say show time is 8pm (it mightg be before or after!):

Tokyo 8pm = Europe 12:00 noon = 11am UK time = 6am New York EST = 3am PST

If I'm reading correctly, the concerts in Japan start at 18:30 ???

I have never been to Japan before. My flight would land at 15:00, at Narita.
Do I have enough time to go thru customs and get to my hotel (is very close to the Dome) and still get to concert in time?

I assume the train is the quickest option.

THX

Before this thread gets locked, hope you got everything sorted out and hopefully you make the March 6 show in time!

Show time is 8pm?

i was really sceptical when i saw all previous reviews from past shows at Tokyo Dome..

I saw some weird show starts for Licks & ABB Tour: 6.50pm - 6pm...

Is that a tradition in Japan? They dont like to go out late?

Thanks for the answer

Yes. One of the Licks shows was super, super early because of a holiday. I must confess I didn't mind the early starts. It was nice to be back in my hotel room with a warm cup of cocoa at 10 pm.
