Jumpin Jack Flash

All the great songs rehearsed and the presence of Mick Taylor in Paris must inspire STONES-fans to a great (wishing) setlist.
Here is mine:

1. JUMPING JACK FLASH
2. IT'S ONLY ROCK N ROLL
3. OUT OF CONTROL
4. STREETFIGHTING MAN
5. MEMORY MOTEL
enter Mick Taylor...
6. SILVER TRAIN or CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING
7. SWAY or another one with MT
8. LOVE IN VAIN or MOONLIGHT MILE
.....exit Mick Taylor
9. DOOM AND GLOOM
10. HONKY TONK WOMEN
.......exit Mick Jagger
11. Slipping Away
12. Happy
...............Maybe think about only one KR song in 2014.
re-enter Mick Jagger....
13. MISS YOU
14. PAINT IT BLACK
15. Sympathy For The Devil
....re-enter Mick Taylor
16. BITCH
16. HEARTBREAKER or LIVE WITH ME
17. MIDNIGHT RAMBLER
18. BROWN SUGAR
19. YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT
20. SATISFACTION

There is not a a chance that they will do Street Fighting Man, Memory Motel, Silver Train, Sway, Moonlight Mile, Bitch, Heartbreaker etc. in the same set. They will do one or maybe two of these each night and the rest will be warhorses + Doom & Gloom/One More Shot. They will probably never do a set with that many rarities again in a stadium or arena.

Not rarities for us, the fans you know...

Gomper is maybe a rarity for us.

You maybe right though.

Gigwise these songs are rarities these days, just look at the tour last year when they played about one of these songs each gig. That´s the truth.

But...

IF someone's of the inner circle assures that lineup (maybe including fingerprint file, sympathy (without HIM), gimme shelter, winter, can't you hear me knockin' and twfno) and guarantees that MT will take part on all of them, please give me a call soon enough to ensure the chopper/whirlybird is available to fly to the concert>grinning smiley<

Keith's set - why no adventure?
Posted by: flacnvinyl ()

During A Bigger Bang we got one gem, Learning The Game...
video: [youtu.be]

I wonder why Keith doesn't mix up his set more often? Since he has started to bring out Taylor early how about Sweet Little Rock n Roller? How about Commit a Crime?

I know Coming Down Again has been mentioned, I'd love to hear that.

Whaddya mean no adventure? He just went to Africa on safari a few months ago during the break.

Honestly, its hard to take this seriously. Yeah, he's not making major changes, but we should be happy with Slipping Away. That wasn't too expected, and adding Mick Taylor to it thats a very nice addition to Keith's set. He's never been one to switch out songs nightly. He plays them for like 2 months then switches to new ones. Would have been better had he changed them more frequently years ago, but at this age I expect them to be stale and what he has now works for the show.

As has been mentioned, it would be great to hear Coming Down Again, but it seems highly doubtful. Other than that, don't expect too much more adventure, and what he's doing now is pretty adventurous for Keith (for better or worse).

Re: Keith's set - why no adventure?

He's mixed it up pretty well over the years.

They've done most of the Richards' lead vocal Stones songs.

Coming Down Again is obviously an exception. I would love a Coming Down Again / Can't Be Seen combo .... or any of the 3 songs from Bridges ... or more of Learning the Game.

But,Happy and Before They Make Me Run were due after Connection , Little T & A , Infamy , and Wanna Hold You were played during the last tour.

They should have played You Got the Silver at least once in Japan. I don't think that would have been too difficult.

I really doubt that Coming down again would sound good in concert. If they ever did it, they should trry it in a small Club.
