Hey guys.
First time on the rail for me, on the Adelaide stadium gig.
Can you see everything ok?
Is the stage set so high that u miss any of the action ?
Was 3rd row in Sydney on Bang tour and it was amazing.

we are about 9 seats from rail Ronnie side.
Can't wait !

And no iPhones in front of us!

What was your front row stadium experiences like ?

The height of the stage and the width of the "pit" between stage and first row both differ depending on the venue. I remember being at one show on the Bigger Bang Tour, where the front of the stage was quite high, and it was difficult to see Charlie. At a couple of shows (Tokyo was definitely one, and I think that Churchill Downs was another), the front of the stage is quite far from the 1st row, which was a bit of a bummer. But, all in all, 9 seats from the rail, Front row? Doesn't get better than that.

Oh yeah, if someone tries to sneak into the front row by using your space on the front rail, defend your space with your physical presence.

.... no pit at Adelaide and possibly a fair distance in the no-mans land between audience and stage

Do Ronnie and Keith play lefthanded in Australia?

I had Tongue pit in May when they came through my area.
Unbelievable. Incredible.
My once in a lifetime shot and I took it. To see The Rolling Stones up that close was absolutely heaven.
I could have died right there. I was done.
I keep a frame of my armband, ticket stub above my desk on the wall to remind me:
IT WAS REAL-it happened.
Never miss a chance like that if you are so blessed.

My buzz is growing each day.

I hope to hell we get the pit here in Melbourne.

According to the press the stage will be individually designed for the oval and there will be a catwalk into the audience with a small stage on the end like they had at Hyde Park.
So there is no Tongue Pit like in the arena stage. However if that stage is also coming to Australia one should not miss the opportunity either close to the tongue walk outside or in the Pit inside. We had 6 times first row Tongue Pit in the US and I do not regret any second or cent of it.

There is a big difference between the Arena stage and the outdoor stage which is much higher. In the tongue pit I could nearly open the shoe laces of Ronnie or Mick

Bring earplugs. I've had the FR experience twice (98 & 03) and I needed them both times. Being right under the PA columns is not exactly an ideal position.

Jump up and down like a wild monkey and smile a lot at them. Make it safe still and don't challenge their security. Make them understand you are the most ecstatic fan in the crowd. Pull out all the energy you have got and reach out your hands. Don't grab. They will see you for sure, and right there, if you are lucky, and there is a chance, Mick, Ronnie, Charlie or Keith will halt for a split second, smile at you, tag you, throw you a pick, or just make you the most important fan at that moment. I know. It works. Just do it.

Sure then we will be two. We will keep them busy, but they like it. If everybody bring out all the energy then it will be the best show in the history. Our energy is fueling them!

Awesome thread!

I've never been front row at a Stones show, but four rows back and right next to the centre aisle (for the b stage) in San Francisco 2005 was amazing. One hell of an experience...

BV's strategy is pretty cool. I did something similar at a show front row. So I tried as well as space would allow me, to copy Mick's moves and after 2-3 minutes he looked down with a weird look and realised what I did, and I got a big smile, that was a really cool experience.

BV: Right on. Mick dumped water on us at Wembley front row. Even tossing a orange bra on the B stage in Holland got Keith's attention. smiling smiley

I was front row in the middle for the 2nd 02 show in 2012 and it was truly a life-affirming experience. You really do feel the band are playing for you and to hear the sound from their actual amps is fabulous.

Also made it to the front row on Keith's side at the last night of Earl's Court in May 76 but only stayed there for a song or two before being pushed back by security.
