Now THIS is more like it

Yeah, this is what we're here for--the anticipation of a new album/tour, excitement reaching a fever pitch, and everyone in a celebratory spirit--THIS is why I enjoy hanging out here.

BTW, kudos to the member who caught the significance of the date of the press conference--the 42nd anniversary of the release of the Stones' first single--"Come On", May 10, 1963. I forget who it was, but take a bow.

Yeah bassplayer these are indeed exciting times, and expensive times...

I live in London, England and am very fortunate to have a load of great acts coming to town this summer. I am 27 and have a wide taste that includes a lot of the 90's acts as well as the 'vintage' stuff. I just saw cream on thursday (amazing) and over the next 2 months i have oasis at the astoria, u2, coldplay, brian wilson and rem. I am flying to miami in september to see McCartney. Sorry to upset the beatle-bashers haha. I would love to see the stones this year in the u.s, but, holy cow, this is getting to be an expensive pastime!!

Hail Hail Rock 'n' Roll !!

Mr. Jimmy, I am 47, from West Virginia USA, but still feel like a teenager when I get news of my old faves going back on the road. I hope to see the Stones this time around, but only if they schedule Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati or Lexington.

Anyone who lives in this area and wants to go, please contact me and we'll see about sharing a ride and a room, if necessary. My wife has a good traveling vehicle (a 2003 Saturn), and I've already started negotiating with her (wink).

Oh man, sometimes i wish i lived in the u.s (but only really for the benefit of stones shows), i just want to be there when the tour is announced, then kicks off, and the setlist is still fresh and changing alot... I know it's a huge place, but with financial sacrafice/savings/loans etc you can see a few shows, especially if you live on the north east coast.

bassplayer, i know what you mean about feeling like a teenager, even though our ages are wide apert, i dont think it matters what age you are, when the boys are about to roll again, the impatient, childlike-i-want-it-all-now character comes out in all of us.

Heres to a great tour and i hope they stop by you in 'sweet virginia' !!
