Here's a wild stab at what we could be looking at here...

Sydney: ANZ Stadium (14 March)
Melbourne: Rod Laver Arena (17 and 19 March)
Adelaide: Adelaide Oval (22 March)
Auckland: Mt Smart Stadium (25 March)

I'd be surprised to see arena gigs in Sydney, but two at Acer Arena would be the other option.

The Rolling Stones are coming Down Under next year and, unlike their previous visits in 2003 and 2006, Perth is unlikely to miss out this time.

Today the legendary English rockers were unveiled as the first concert at the newly revamped Adelaide Oval on March 22, 2014.

Australian promoter Michael Gudinski's Frontier Touring and Los Angeles-based partner AEG Live will announce more concerts for Australia, and one in New Zealand, in the next few weeks.

$79 general admission tickets!!! thumbs up Prices are surprisingly affordable after seeing the cost of tickets to the American shows. Range from $79 to $510.

More Australian and one NZ show to be announced next week. I'll be in NZ for Bruce Springsteen in early March so I hope the dates align for me!

I'd expect the arena shows to be somewhat pricier on average.

AS$79 is £46 or US$74. Thats not bad at all - and even the top price (just under £300 or US$480) is quite a bit less than what some feared.

The seating plan does show the GA tickets to be at the back of the field BEHIND the on-field seating, though. So, dont be expecting a pit for the Stones if thats any yardstick.

The NZ show will apparently be a stadium gig too, with the other Aussie dates being arena sized. If thats the case, expect the Stones to be in NZ a good bit later in March than Bruce.

Yep, reasonable pricing, even compared to HP, but based on your post (got a link for the chart?) no chance of getting as close as with the T3 tickets...it seems Mick (at least according to Rob Hallett) has forgotten about that "concept" of letting the cheap tickets get a shot at getting a good view.

Yes, that's only necessary when they're filming the show.

Looks like they'll be using the "Hyde Park" stage (minus the oak trees, of course).

Source? And where? Outdoor?

It would have to be outdoor if it is a stadium show, no indoor stadiums here.

Thanks for the chart, wow that's not looking for GA, party's over, eh? And it seems like they'll be using the huge HP towers...not sure what they need them for, lighting? The "B-stage" setup certainly worked well at Hyde Park.

I love that, "invited" yes, but we have to be paid and we'll accept to be be invited. smoking smiley

A very tiny area, a lot of it blocked by the lighting towers...

This will be bleeding expensive for most of the punters, surely?

Who says it's outdoor? Adelaide could be the only one.

Cause it wouldn't make sense for them to play one show only at Vector Arena.

They missed Japan and Australia on the B2B/No security tour. Missed Australia also on the Steel Wheels tour.

And they haven't been to Melbourne and Sydney in 8 years, Brisbane in nearly 11 and Perth and Adelaide in almost 20.

Plus it is very unlikely they will return after this tour, and every tour here has gone down an absolute treat with the fans and press.

Demand is high!

No they didn't...

Yeah, I see. But they played a full arena tour in the US in May this year...they passed outdoor shows although weather would have been appropriate. But with it being the "only" show in New Zealand a stadium show would make more sense. Crossing fingers.

They have been using the format of two separate mixer desks (one for lighting and one for sound) for outdoor shows since 1997.
At Hyde Park they were huge, because they were also used as platforms for shooting video. But normally they are not very big.
Behind them there are ususally some lighting towers and delay speakers.

Here's an example from the Bigger Bang tour:

Great picture, yes the video shoot at HP would likely account for these huge towers, the area behind also gave a bit of "breathing room". Hope they don't use that "floor" setup in the European stadiums that they are bound to play in the May/June/July timeframe.

Don't be stupid, don't be greedy, and don't be unrealistic ......... there IS a world (rumour has it) outside of the USA !! One in which (to date on the 50th & counting extravaganza) there've been all of a mere five shows, 2 x O2 Arena, then Glastonbury & Hyde Park x 2.

So with all due respect .......... WAIT !!

or Hongkong

China seems to very highly rumoured from good sources. Dont know whether or not that'll include HK but you'd like to imagine they'd have more of an audience there than anywhere else in that country.
