There must be many wealthy people here...

All this excitement over spending thousands & thousands of dollars on tickets. While I am excited...I am dreading the costs. Perhaps some here are VERY excited at the idea of seeing 1-3 gigs...but knowing that I tend to see 10-15...it just sounds like something to deal with rather than enjoy.

I'm not that rich to be able to spend thousands but the wife and I will see the Bay Area shows.

I'm sure I'll be up there for em...a Berkeley boy you know...now in San Diego.

BTW: StonesDoug is reporting that ALL Theatre tix will be around $1000 and that the higher priced tix for arena/stadium will be around $400. UGgggghhhhh

It was already reported by StonesDoug earlier that a Stones publicist said all theatre shows would be sold in an internet lottery so everyone would have equal chance to get the tickets. I can't imagine them costing anywhere close to $1000.

Just stating here what StonesDoug reported there...didn't know about the lottery...just the reported prices

in the filthiest rich casino/financial elite places like atlantic city, las vegas, LA, and Tokyo i can see theatre gigs MAYBE approaching that level (like $350-500 tops) but not $1000; no way.

besides, didn't we all read that article which stated that most new big tours were going to see a dropoff in the price of tickets? with tanking economies worldwide, fuel costs rising, and a slate of already expensive tours already out there, the stones would be foolish to increase tickets from the Licks Tour prices. although i could see the theatre shows going up to $65-100 for many cities. personally, i would never spend more than $200 to see the stones, and i would never pay more than $75 to see anybody else.

i've already found a scalper site offering field seats to the Pittsbugh stadium for $600 a pop. f*#k off and die!!!

I would rather see them in cheaper seats more often then 1 or 2 shows at MAYBE good seats.

What can a poor boy do?

Poor boy can for the first time let his fav. band go ahead & just play to the rich kids...and stay home. I'm an addict so I'll go to more shows than I should...but I'm not selling blood for an extra ticket this tour.

well i don't have kids or family
but i aint rich
although I will pay up to 500usd for a great arena seat
i'll just have to cut down on bad habits for a couple months

$500 for A great seat isn't terrible...it's just when you are an addict and go to 15 shows that it is a BIG problem.

That is very true...but the time off work is tough...but am hoping for a trip this coming tour. Was going to hit Buenos Aires & stay at my g/f's parents house...but it is in Feb. & I am an accountant...so that's out.

I have plenty of dosh. I just do not choose to piss away hundreds of dollars to see The Stones, because it's not value for money.

My credit cards are still smoking and smouldering from debt because of the last tour. In my heart I say to myself I will only see a couple shows in my local area. But my soul tells me the skies the limit...life is short...the Stones are on their last tour. Its time to dust off the ashes and debris from the melted credit cards, and let them burn on fire again. It's time to live it up again!

A walk in the campground at Hockenheim pays for the ticket.

The Joint may approach $1000, + but for the usual shows, no way, only the VIPS could afford those prices. Give me a break!

I posted that the theatre shows will be much higher than the past tour. Only the Borgota has the rumoured 1000 price.

Doug. Didnt you mention something a while back about a 'lottery' system for theatre shows? Any word on that?
