Great show in Oslo last night.
I guess 1st row dead centre made it even better.
Yes, can do it again! In a place with better sound.
He looks good, talked once and smiled twice, IORR.

That's a really good setlist. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the show yesterday.

I guess my collegue who attended will give me hard time later when/if he shows up at work...

Don't laugh but.. "we're taking a break"!!!
He said something more but didn't catch it. Then they had the break, 15 minutes maybe(?).
Was a guitar problem during 'It's Alright, Ma'. Could be the reason for the break?

5 songs off the new album (early reports had an 18-song set which included 'Duquesne Whistle', making it six new songs but seemingly not)

Only 4 songs from the 60s, 2 from one 1970's album ,one from 1989 and everything else from 2000 onwards.

Nothing from either Highway 61 Revisited or Blonde On Blonde.

That takes some balls.

Great setlist, even if 'Summer Days' keeps popping back annoyingly like the proverbial turd that won't flush.

I didn't know the song so don't have a clue. Just copied the list this morning.
Some still say it was played, making it six new ones then.
I was one of those knowing only the greatest hits++ last night.

.

That just what ocurred to me too.

It does take some balls on the face it.

Thing is, Bob set the expectations donkey's years ago.
It goes back to when he was a genuinely reluctant live performer and went out on the basis of

..Ok, I'll do it ..but I'll play what I like, how I like, and you'll put up with it winking smiley

Sometimes his set list does not matter as nearly EVERY song...
1. either sounds pretty much the same or
2. is so mashed up that is takes about 3 minutes into any one song before you can figure out which song it is.

is that still the case?

1. No. Only someone like Helen Keller could find, say, 'Summer Days' and 'Spirit On the Water' to be indistinguishable.

2. Occasionally - but the 'name that tune' aspect is sometimes part of the fun!

A performing artist breathing new life into his old songs by rearranging them or someone playing them the same way year in year out? Different ways to present a show.

Its a matter of taste, I suppose. It doesnt always work of course, and I can understand why some people don't appreciate it, but I like an artist to dance to the beat of his OWN drum, myself.

He's an artist for whom writing, recording, and playing new music is his life's blood.

On Thursday, 'Tangled up in blue' and 'It's alright ma' was part of that game Gazza mentioned (Name that tune), for me at least. 'Blowin' in the wind' as well. Loved them all.
Have fun tonight Stockholm.

Those clips from Oslo sound just great. Now I regret that I won't see him this year even more. And Bob doesn't wear a hat, that is new. When was the last time he played without a hat (I mean a regular concert) - maybe 15 years or so?

Dylan recieved very good reviews for his two gigs at Waterfront in Stockholm. 4 out of 5 stars: [www.aftonbladet.se]

(If you can't read Swedish at least you can read the setlist and look at the pictures!)

Hey, Helen Keller was blind, not deaf. Maybe Tommy would have been a better example.

Wow, he played "Waitin' For You" last night! That would be the rough equivalent of the Stones playing "Jump On Top Of Me" again.

Going to see Bob is always a roll of the dice. Have seen both extremes. Last time he was in what I like to call "mumble mode". Not the best show.
