"sleeping away" in four flicks

Keith voice is great. I like when he takes his guitar like a child, then put it on his back just to sing. Later, at the end, his little guitar solo is just beautifull. Keith likes playing around the silence. Always emotionnal.

And silence is the essence in music.
Wonderful song, underestimated.

Yeah so true and we were told all about it in That Feel

(Keith Richards/Tom Waits)
Well there's one thing you can't lose
It's that feel
Your pants, your shirt, your shoes
But not that feel
You can throw it out in the rain
You can whip it like a dog
You can chop it down like an old dead tree
You can always see it
When you're coming into town
Once you hang it on the wall
You can never take it down
But there's one thing you can't lose
And it's that feel
You can pawn your watch and chain
But not that feel
It always comes and finds you
It will always hear you cry
I cross my wooden leg
And I swear on my glass eye
It will never leave you high and dry
Never leave you loose
It's harder to get rid of than tattoos
But there's one thing you can't do
Is lose that feel
You can throw it off a bridge
You can lose it in the fire
You can leave it at the altar
But it will make you out a liar
You can fall down in the street
You can leave it in the lurch
Well you say that it's gospel
But I know that it's only church
And there's one thing you can't lose
And it's that feel
It's that feel

Sleeping Away? Did Keith change it from Slipping to Sleeping over the years?

Well, but I agree, it's cool on FF. Unlike some people here I enjoy Keith's ballads very much and hope to hear at least one new ballad on the upcoming album!

keiths ballads are wonderful, but no one beats Thru and Thru. That song is pure magic.

One of the finest ballads has to be - Locked Away

You got the silver - is one of the most great songs ever did and I'm happy that they decided on Keith lead vocal.
I have the version with Mick on lead vocal and he doesn't have the same feeling for that song as Keith have.

Then you can put all the songs with Keith on vocals. For instance "Nearness of you" from FF. Locked away and many more!
You name you got it. He's a very emotional person!

I´m proud to declare - here´s another Keith-ballad-lover!
I think the word balad is to tiny when it comes to Keeftsters songs.
He hasnt done anything thats not very good inside the Stones (with Winos I think there is some tracks that is not exhausting). I could, with a very open mind, understand why some many users here pick on "Losing My Touch".

None in the circle, not even Ronnie, has Keeftsters addict experiences. No one can really understand him when it comes to lyrics. And that´s something which is the more apparent when we talk fans in their 30´s-40´s-50´s, of which most of them/us [but not me] (on this board as well as in the real world) was born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
