Maybe some bonus material of Paul and Ringo reminiscing....

Seriously though, seems to me the entire "The Beatles: Get Back" on Blu-ray & DVD - 3-Disc sets is a bonus on it's own.
Compared to the minimal amount that what was previously released in the original Let it be movie, this is a gold mine.

was my exact thought. it's unbelievable we got something this good, and only wish we could get something remotely similar on the Stones end of things.

Anyone get their IMAX tickets yet? I wouldn't put it off for too long. The screening in Livonia Michigan, the only theater in the entire state that will be showing it, is nearly sold out.

Having seen it, and loved it, I have no interest in traipsing to the theatre to see it in IMAX. For me the marginal utility of that is pretty small.

Mr Jimmy and I have tickets for the London IMAX screening at the end of January. Also almost sold out.

Another question would be: is the IMAX 60-minutes-feature worth it? Is it the same as in the Disney+ stream, 10 Tracks (5 of them repeated), interrupted by policemen and interviews with people on the street?

The Beatles: Get Back - The Rooftop Concert12A Live
“The Beatles: Get Back” is a unique cinematic experience that takes audiences back in time to The Beatles’ intimate recording sessions.

I saw the Eight Days A Week documentary in the cinema and it was fantastic with the surround sound. I reckon the rooftop concert on IMAX would be pretty sensational.

Hey Irix, I saw the runtime on that same site, one click back from that page you linked.
Anyway, it could be the same as this screening back in November which included a long intro from Peter Jackson......

.....will be cool to see it on the BIG screen.

Which was an exclusive 100 mins Preview of Peter Jackson’s 3-part docuseries “The Beatles: Get Back”.

The 60 mins Feature now on IMAX has additionally an Filmmaker Q&A which could contribute to the runtime.

Unless your living room has a TV screen the height of a three-story building, and a surround-sound system so thunderous you feel as if you are on the rooftop with them, and Paul's bass is causing the floorboards to shake beneath your feet, then I would say, yeah, it could very well be worth it.

Yeah, but it would be better then if they show the pure musical performance - without policemen and interviewed people. smiling smiley

This was already hard to watch because: "its sheer length can feel like a schlep" - [www.TheGuardian.com] . How many more Takes of the same songs do we wanna see?

I’ve only viewed the snippets on YouTube: they’re all fantastic, but I do, too, wonder whether eight-hours worth is a little too much. I might sit through an abridged version.

but if it was 18 hours of the stones at olympic studios in 69 and 70 we'd have people complaining it isn't long enoughwinking smiley

I would not watch all 9 hours more than once, but I did want to watch it all the way through once...
So I got Disney Plus for one month, $8. I watched it over the course of two weeks. Then I canceled Disney.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series as presented, but definitely don't need the 18 hour version.

Me too. It was interesting to watch as a historical document - one time. There's already too much repetition in the 3-part version and I could do without the Abbey-Road-/Solo-/Cover-Tracks and would rather focus on the 11 Tracks of Let It Be...Naked. Four of the five Rooftop-Tracks (Dig a Pony, I've Got a Feeling, One After 909, Don't Let Me Down) were released in 2003 on the Naked-version.
