It looks like they will be back on tour to SA after this leg. In between maybe he will do some gigs to promote the album? There is no news from "the RCMP news channel" about things being cancelled in SA.

But not this year, according to Bjornulf's latest blog sad smiley

Yes I read it. I'll try to get some info about this today.

Reckon Keith would get away with doing a couple of tracks from this album in his two song slot with the Stones?

No, wont happen. They are not Stones songs, although they ARE STONESY
Come On Keith, Lets do it..

Maybe a solo gig at the Paradiso, Amsterdam...

A good room, you said.

I'm guessing there's nothing from the Jack White Sessions, or else that would've been mentioned...

I think that first single shouldn't be a cover of a classic blues (nothing special) like this:

After great singles as'Take it so hard' and 'Wicked as it seems'it would be a false start!

I agree for the homage..but not a cover of that classic blues!

May I humbly ask that we wait to hear the album before lodging complaints?!

Looking forward to it and some live shows.

The new record sounds similar in style to a Keith mixed CD I made with:

Harder they come
My first plea
Say it's not you w/ George Jones
How I wish
Dead Flowers w/ Willie Nelson
Let's Go Steady
We Had it All w/ Willie

country,rock, blues, reggae...

beside the fact that it is kind of ridicolous that laments begin way before the release

if one would just make the enormous effort to google "keith richards" now would find a lot of info that might answer some ... questions.
for example the kr single would not be the cover of the presley tune but a song written by "Richards-Jordan"

It's time the live Winos recording be given a special treatment vinyl release. I hope the new one comes out on wax as well.

Even if it was the Best album (cd) in the world, loads of people will still find fault with it. You cant please all the people all the time. Already people are saying Mick Taylor Should play with Keith if he tours. Waddy Wachtel is the man i believe.
Although a tour with Ronnie and Keith would be great. they could each sing 5 or 6 of their own songs with both of them on stage, then finish off with playing 5 stones songs together. Now that would be something.
Na forget it, lets just have Keith, it makes a refreshing change.

It's only been in the last couple years that I really dug into Waddy's work with Warren Zevon. So great. I can see why Keith loves playing with him so much: he's really the ideal accompanist.

No disco.
No rap.
No politics.
No lead singer from India.
No horrible "contemporary" production.
No nonsense.

Haha, true, and funny too!

Norah Jones is Ravi Shankar's daughter.

Ahhh thanks with sssoul!
I was referring to the guy in Superheavy, but that is interesting trivia that I did not know!
Be that as it may, Norah Jones is an American singer who happens to have a father who is from India.
And as it stand she will be duetting with Keith, so this should not be confused with being the 'lead singer' for Keith's band.

True, and while I hope to enjoy Keith's album more than SUPERHEAVY, A. R. Rahman could hardly be considered their lead singer. I believe he had two tracks on the album. His main contribution was keyboards.

Yes true Rocky, and for what it's worth I think A.R. Rahman is a fine musician in his own right.

she's a great choice for a duet, she and keith were great on "love hurts"

I'm cautiously optimistic until I hear a track next week. If this was the Rob Fraboni produced material with George Recile on drums that Keith cut in 2000 and 2001, I'd be in heaven. That's the last time I really loved Keith's work.

Cool. i think they closed the place down shortly after he played there. it had a big bar at the back, you could drink from the bar and watch the show or get right to the front. after the first 6 numbers i went back to the bar as it was defining. think he did 2 nights there. Best gig i ever seen cool smiley
