I sometimes have the feeling that the entire universe, all our hopes and dreams, everything it means to be human, can be found in the music of Bach.

Bartok is wonderful. I think his string quartets are second only to Shostakovich's in the 20th century repertory.

But of course when all is said and done my favorite recording of the last hundred years is ... drumroll, pls ... SHE'S THE BOSS!!!!

Dissing the track as well as the people enjoying it:

"Yes that was indeed a good showing by MT! Nice to come back to this great Rock and Roll by Keith after everyone is getting so excited about his new quasi-reggae tune released today" eye popping smiley

Is that from Nikkei On Main Street?
It doesn't bother me really.

I believe it first showed up as an outtake on a reissue of Bird & Diz. But you had to find a plaque located in downtown Kansas City where Charlie made his live debut to unlock it so very few people have actually heard it.

Don't despair, young riffhards. I am going to buy the new Keith Richards record ... and I have never in my life owned a Keith Richards record! That's changing one's mind, isn't it? I change my mind all the time, moreso know that I am older. I used to think that with age I'd get more set in my ways but I seem to be going in the other direction: I find myself increasingly less sure about things with every passing year!

And I still don't know what LOLFL means.

A bit like Lennon's lyrics in Help
It gets harder with age for sure and i do find myself also changing my mind about things constantly, its called enlightenment, your getting Keith's new album, its a start, laugh out loud fracking loud

Brother you are taking yourself and me a bit too seriously, please lighten up. Calling the tune quasi reggae is not dissing it, just being descriptive. I thought it was a pretty good description it's not a derogatory term by nature.

For your information the definition of quasi is:

seemingly, apparently but not really
being partial or almost

If you are so interested in learning what I though of the tune go back and read what I said in this thread, pretty sure the words "I like it" were used.

Perhaps you are as excited about this new tune and actually think it's better than the 1973 Version of Happy that my comment you quoted (from another thread) was referring to. It isn't even close in my opinion, which is why I said it was nice to get back to "being excited" about a great rocking Keith tune.

Let's get back to discussing the record instead of this silly bickering, ok bro?

I don't like the bickering either. A peace pipe might be more appropriate here than a simple hatchet burial? smoking smiley

these songs conjure up all kinds of emotions and I've been drinking way too much wine to deal with them. which of course is not dealing very well with them.

I haven't heared the whole album yet but I'd rather believe they just aren't getting it.
