I have the Decca 1986 version on CD.

Yep the Abkco 2002 SACD release..play loud, sounds brilliant, no drugs included.

SACD would seem to be only cd version
to have. Old ABKCO lacked lustre/
clarity for me. Had a murky
sound. Remaster seems
clearer more vibrant.

Is the cover 3-D? (ha)

That's my next Stones cd, along with TTPD. I still have the albums but not the cd's. In fact In Another Land is playing now. (abkco singles collection). Good song too.

Hi. The best version is the new Abkco remaster from 2002. The Decca version from 1986 is not that bad either, but the version to avoid is the previous Abkco version from before 2002.

get them all..the sony's sacd versions and the virgin remastered versions..
i still can't get over how much better they are over the 1986 versions.. you will love the stones even more!

tsmr was always a just ok album for me.. but the remastered version sounds so great... if your in a laid back mood..and want to really listen then its a great album..very deep. brian jones i think saves it and makes it one of the very best from that time period...the sacd brings out every note..very clear..
p.s. for me, the remastered versions show how truely great the rolling stones were...sticky fingers, tattoo and exile all sound so much better. its makes me wonder how i listened to it for all these years.. well worth the $10.00!

Among the 2002 SACDs, Satanic Majesties is one of the great revelations. It was damned near a first-time listening experience to this album. STUNNING.

your 100% right...i love it... don't laugh but i love gomper, the stones go wild and the end... i even like lantern and sing this song (and see whats happens).
i never played these tracks before...now this album and sticky fingers i can't put away.....

How about the mono mix of this one?

it was remastered in stereo.... same with the 1986 version... but the sacd is just a more up dated way to record..but everything is in stereo..
