It's not realy heavy or big like the GRRR box, it's more like the YaYa's or Exile box sets.
No, it doesn't contain the Hyde Park '69 dvd, or the hardcover book.

The audience shots aren't really any indication, since they can be spliced in from either day,
or from any number, as long as they aren't singing along. (The Department of Historical Trivia would like to add
that the film of the 1969 Hyde Park show includes audience shots from the Blind Faith show a month earlier.)

Anyway, what I've seen so far supports the Mash-Up Theory. As has been noted before,
the weather being good on both days was a say-hallelujah miracle for the film editors.
Forces of nature love the Rolling Stones. :E

Well,I liked the cinema screening.It was nice to watch and not boring despite the very conservative set list.To my taste they could have added some more shots from the original 69 gig.But however - nice evening . .

I saw the film last Wednesday in Flensburg/Northern Germany.
There were 40 people watching. That was quite a lot.
When Shine A Light was running, I remember 6 visitors...

The film itself is good.

But the sound in the cinema was totally disappointing. It was the usual
DolbyHifIAround bullshit with several speakers around us. But when the
film started it was like from a TV set. No bass, nothing. I went to the
staff but they said: "This is what we got from Eagle Rock, sorry"

Cinema sound systems often can't handle live music films, unfortunately. When I saw the Zeppelin Celebration Day movie in a theater, we begged them to turn up the sound after about five minutes. They tried, but then it kept overwhelming the theater's system, so a guy literally had to sit there all through the film and every ten minutes when the sound cut out, he had to nudge it back on again. It was maddening.

Important Question to those who got the Japanese boxset already - is it the same mix on the LPs as on the iTunes release from July?

Is the audio (CDs) identical with the iTunes-download?

The Blind Faith DVD of their concert does include audience footage from the 5th July though.

I filed a complaint with amazon.co.jp about DHL. They only deliver during office hours and do not have a convenient location where you can pick things up.
So I still don't have my order, even though it's been in NL for a couple of days now.
If somebody else feels this way about DHL as well please let Amazon in Japan know.
Maybe they can change delivery service cause I DHL is a pain.

NEVER complain about the good old Deutsche Bundespost - it's about the only decently working post in Europe - and I'm saying this as a Belgian... apart from UK mail (that maybe isn't working that well either, but their 'overseas' rates are enjoyably inexpensive... )

Same kind of service they offer in Poland. The only way to have things delivered is giving them your office address

I wasn't at home either, but I could pick up the packet at the nearest depot where I live.

Here in the U.S. all I had to do was leave a note with the tracking number and authorize DHL to leave the package without a signature and they dropped it off at the front door with no issues.

I have only had the time to watch a few songs but I would say the Stones were in good form at HP and gave some great shows. Don't think the show(s) had the energy of Glastonbury, which would be hard to equal IMHO, but still a nice watch so far.

Can someone answer a question for me, can't go through 39 pages to find this. I just want to get the blue ray of this, what does the Japan blue ray that the US doesn't. Not talking about all these crazy box set editions, just the basic US and Japan blue rays.

Thank you! Not sure if anyone else noticed but IORR is not the only place to bash the Stones when they put out all these stupid versions of something their releasing. If you look at sites like Amazon and other places fans seem to bitch as much as we do if not more.

I listened to the iTunes download a lot, but find it hard to tell whether it is any different. It may be mixed a little different. I think they did a special mix for the mp3, but the recording sounds the same to me.
Anyway, it sounds fantastic, it's a party all along. I was there and every time you hear this you remember that absolutely great evening.

I went the poor man's route and ordered the deluxe set and the vinyl set.

I think I'm missing a bonus cut as a result, and obviously the cool packaging.

I understand that even with this UBER Deluxe Japanese edition though. they don't include the '69 gig DVD. Why I wonder can they not create one edition, the ULTRA UBER Super Deluxe that actually contains ALL the bonus stuff, including the T-shirt?

Is it a super-special T-shirt, or one that's already on sale? And anyway, I agree it would be so much simpler if there was just one edition.

So is emotional rescue on the american version or not? i have not bought this yet and i am very confused with the whole thing

Emotional Rescue, Panint It Black and Before They MAke Me Run are the 3 Bonus tracks on the european DVD.
They probably also are in the US release, since the DVD is region free
