Camden 1964
Date: April 22, 2005 13:17

Recently, I got a boot called "Camden 1964". It contains the old 60s hits (different versions also, maybe live/singbacks - with great sound), but the last 4 songs are supposed to be live (from a radio or TV show?).

Can anybody give me some information on this one? The sound is perfect - is it singback?

The live songs are:
Route 66
Cops And Robbers
Mona (I Need You Baby)
Don't remember the last one

it was broadcast as part of an early experiment in stereo, both on radio and through an audio feed through the TV channel (they broadcast it at something like 9 am as there were no TV programmes on at that time of day)

Coincidentally, sad to report that Long John Baldry, who introduced the Stones at that show, is currently critically ill

<it was broadcast as part of an early experiment in stereo>

That experiment worked very well! Great sound, and a remarkably good performance (if it was live...)
