What dvd set do you think is better Four Flicks or The Biggest Bang

I like Four Flicks more i think the concerts are better the bonus stuff is better. we get 3 discs of concerts compared to 2 on the biggest bang. instead a disc of excerpts of concerts and duets and a 4th disc with a documentary. don't get me wrong i love bonnie rait and eddie vedder but can do with out dave matthews and cui jan. but zilker park is fantastic and so is rio they could of had just a little more concert with the biggest bang overall my ratings for these 2 sets are

The Biggest Bang 3 Out Of 5
Four Flicks 5 Out Of 5

Four Flicks by a mile because the concept of different types of shows worked far better over a multi disc format.

its probably their best non-archives release in the last three decades.

There wasnt enough variation on the Bigger Bang tour to repeat the exercise.

Additionally, the Stones were far far better on the Licks tour than they were on the one that followed.

Your ratings are pretty much spot on.

Just my opinion but I think Keef and Ronnie were both playing better on the Licks tour so I would vote for 4 Flicks

Austin was the apex of aerial firework distribution...it wins for that reason alone...biggest bang indeed...

Love Four Flicks for its varied set lists, especially the Paris show which doesn't have a great number of warhorses and it made me appreciate more some of the songs that are not performed very often.

I love the 'Flicks' club show, but I also think they were absolutely great in Rio; so it would be difficult for me to choose.

The Blu-Ray edition of Biggest Bang is a deception because the 4 dics concept of the DVD edition is not repeated (no Rio!), but image and sound are great.

Is there any release of FF in Blu-Ray format?

regards to you all!

Four Flicks is lightyears better, since both guitarists had massive problems on the Bigger Bang tour.

Four Flicks by a mile. I love the documentary about the tour planning & the rehersals building up to opening night. I've watched the documentary more times than I've seen the other 3 DVDs.

Although they are both good & were bargains for the amount of material you get, I'd have to say 4 Flicks. Judging by the shows I saw (several on both tours) Licks was way better than ABB. The band was taking more chances with the set list on Licks & the playing (especially Ronnie) was better.

Four Flicks.

As much as I love the Paris club show, it is the MSG-show that really is the nugget here, imo.

A little question: Is the MSG performance the first and only time Mick did the high notes on Angie since 1976?

I wish they would've put out the whole MSG show. I watched it on HBO when it was broadcast live. There's another half hour.

Yes, you are absolutely correct here. Why on earth there is no blu-ray version of the whole biggest bang box set? And anyway the Rio should have been chosen as a blu-ray version concert instead of that Austin concert .

As for performances I like more the Four Flicks but they really should bring blu-ray version of that box set too!!! There is no blu-ray version of FF available anywhere to my knowledge.

Four Flicks. By a margin. Especially the MSG disc is a favourite. Which leads me to conclude that the arena is the best format for the band. The Biggest Bang went on sales pretty quick as I remember.
In the end you could buy it for approx the cost of a standard CD.

Four Flicks because The Biggest Bang (Austin Show) is totally overdubbed, I prefer mistakes than overdubs... And the documentary is far better on Four Flicks.

no contest, The Licks Tour was by far the best tour of the modern era. The setlists were wonderfully varied and Keith especially was in top form.

Four Flicks, the club show is briljant! MSG rocks and Twickenham is also realy good.
I wonder why they didn't have three concerts on the Biggest Bang box, the complete Argentina concert would have been much better than what we got now!

But why the heck must all the concerts be edited?

Is there anyone who likes the BB box better?
