Stones songs with a Sitar

Other than Ravi Shankar, Brian and George are probably the most famous Sitar players in the western world. Do we have a list of songs Brian played Sitar on? And any other players that made a mark on popular songs? Anyone ever play one?

No sitar on Helper or Collected.
I took sitar lessons for about a year and a half to two years.
Still have mine, but it needs some work.

THere's no "track" called Between the Buttons; I know what he means, but there's no sitar at all on the record. And there's no sitar on the Monkees tune This Just Doesn't Seem To Be My Day. Fancy doesn't have one either. I forgot San Francisco had one.

There's no sitar on Gomper, that's Brian on the Vox Bijou, an electric dulcimer.

Brian is a sitar player like Elvis is a guitar player. To put Brian in the same sentence as Ravi Shankar, hell even George Harrison, is a joke. He isn't even sitting properly.

We are only talking about songs! No one is comparing Brian or George to Ravi who played for 70+ years compared to maybe two (if that) for Brian.

I'd give him a pass on that, as you can't sit with it properly with shoes on.
It would be interesting to know where and when he got his sitar that he used on PIB.
In Los Angeles for the session? Earlier? If earlier, then he/the band had an interest in using it on something in the future.

That is a Shehnai...

Shehnai is an Indian wind instrument, on SFM played by Dave Mason on the end part.
[en.wikipedia.org]

Brian plays sitar on the SFM basic track - confirmed by Keith. Can´t remember the source right now...but His Majesty has written about it here on IORR.

Yeah, in the November 1977 "Guitar Player" magazine (looking at it right now), Keith says - "There's a sitar in the back, too".
