Oh my. Paul is 79 years young today. I remember watching him and the other Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Boy, we have some history.

From the DVD in the Wild Life Deluxe Edition- Woody and Mac appear briefly. 1972 Tour rehearsals at the 18 minute mark. Bless her heart, Linda McCartney is just embarrasingly awful...cannot sing on key and cant play a lick. Completely glaringly tone deaf. Apparently she didnt wanna join the band but Paul insisted- go figure.

OT Paul McCartney interview 1980

Apologies, I couldn't find the regular Macca thread.

This an interesting interview, with a passive aggressive Tim Rice interviewing a somewhat misguided Macca.

Who on Earth is the stranger who comes on to cuff and remove Macca in the last minute?!

Anyone watching McCartney 3,2, 1 on Hulu? He sits down with Rick Rubin and dissects songs by listening to the Master Tapes. He brings some warmth and openness to discussing how they accomplished what they did.

I find Paul open and generous about the past in a way I WISH Mick and Keith would do as well. I have found it utterly delightful.

Thoughts?

The physical media release of III Imagined gives Paul his second number one album of the year.

Clever marketing strategy by Paul and Capitol Records. Well done!

I listened to III Imagined last night. It was good. It made me also think how changing the song order can change the flavor of an album.

Where is he located, presently? He’s a bit late, getting vaccinated, no? I suppose it could be a picture from earlier in the year, of course.

Today would have been Linda's 80th birthday. She was treated so terribly by "fans" back in the day, but she was a lot cooler than most everyone gave her credit for.

Here's to the memory of Linda McCartney.

Yeah.. her, Yoko, Bianca... It really wasn't easy to be a big love of a big rock star... It is pretty disgusting to think now how those ladies were seen and treated by the 'fans'..
