Europe will be forgotten this year like the last years,Or not? The bands can make more money in the USA. The Who has forgotten the Europeans-or was the reason the insurance?I had toil for the Royal Albert Hall for The Who!
Def Leppard plays more in the USA then in their own country... Money is all!

If I can get a ticket I like I am in for Oakland. Listen to his Back In The USSR story one more time.

Surprised he is playing Oakland, vs the fancy new arena in San Francisco

Glad to see Paul is hitting the road again, but of the four times I've seen him live, only one was sort of memorable which was the first time I saw him at MGM arena in Vegas back in 2005.
Incredible setlist on paper (Macca), and it was great to see a Beatle, but in reality it was sort of tribute band-esque. Still, much better than the latter three shows - Dodger stadium in 2014, and both Desert Trips in 2016.
With his vocals suffering the way they've been the last decade or so, can't imagine how bad they must be now, but amazing he's still going on tour which could probably be the last time for him.

Probably an availability issue. The Warriors, who play in the fancy new arena in San Francisco, will, with all probability, be thick in the playoffs at that point. With the San Francisco Arena's availability in question, why not go for the practically abandoned, but still serviceable Oakland Arena? Lots of bands over the years have used the Forum, the Lakers old home, for concerts, since the 'new' arena opened downtown in '99.

I can't imagine it's improving either, but having seen him in 2012 and remarking at how he struggled with some of the upper registers of some songs, though he bravely soldiered through, it was still a great show.

Having said that, at some point it becomes a problem (ie last time seeing Meatloaf in 2018 I think - very bad).

Hopefully Paul pulls the plug before it gets that dire.

The drummer has been singing everything anyway and blended with Paul's voice, it's when he tries to talk that it's apparent how bad it is.

And Sofi ... It's alright when you're spending $35 for a good Stones seat but can't imagine spending real money for anything.

In for Seattle, maybe both nights. Hard to say which one will be better, as they're back to back. On one hand, he's had a few days off from Spokane, so his voice will be more rested for Monday, on the other, he and the band might need a few shows to warm up, so Tuesday might be tighter. I saw him back to back nights in Vancouver in 2016, and thought both shows were pretty equal. In 2018 and 2019, he definitely leaned more on the band for vocal support. He may actually have benefited from a few years off, and his voice may be a little refreshed, hopefully. Maybe he'll finally lower the keys of a lot of tunes and save himself (and us) some strain.

Regardless, though, he's still a force of nature and gives 110% every time, and brings the Beatlelove in spades.

Contemplating the same regarding the Seattle shows..
If I only go to the one which is looking likely, I had decided on the second night.
Primarily reasoning, like the Stones, second nights generally bring a more varied setlist. Not sure if Paul has followed that formula in the past or not. Excellent point about the rest between Spokane and Seattle though.. voice may be stronger.

Odd that Seattle is the only city with back to back shows..so far.
Both being weeknights, perhaps it will make tickets more plentiful/affordable on secondary markets etc as it gets close.

In 2016, he changed exactly 1 song between the two consecutive nights I saw. The difference in song choices between the Vancouver Dec 2012 show and Seattle July 2013 was amazing. At least 30% of the setlist had been switched up.

I feel like one of those casual Stones fans with seeing the band on their bucket list. I've never seen a Beatle in concert, and this really could be the last chance. And of course I want to hear the hits, exactly the opposite of me going to a Stones concert.

God, imagine the concerts the Beatles could have done, if they'd split up and reunited. All the songs after '66 they never got to play live.

Also, from a band perspective, pretty much the same capacity but probably a lot cheaper to rent. Forum is a very busy concert venue from what I've read on Pollstar.

Yup, Vancouver shows were similar, I saw the first night when local singer Diana Krall came on stage to play and the next night Jimmy Fallon sang. Surprised he's playing Spokane, arena there holds about 8000 for a concert. If that's the case, he can come back up to BC and play Kelowna.
One thing about playing Canada is he usually plays Mul of Kintyre but rarely plays it in the US.

Another thing that's surprising is that he plays about 2 1/2 hours a night and he's still doing some back to back nights! Stones do 13 shows spaced over 2 months. I'm wondering if that was because it was too tiring for Charlie?

I've noticed over the years that second nights are better most of the time. Not always but a lot of the time. I saw night 2 of both Wilco & My Morning Jacket in October & have heard tapes of both nights. Night 2 was better in both cases. Just recent examples for me. Have seen that happen with Pearl Jam more than once, too. I saw Wings Over America in 1976 (concert #2 for me), the show that filmed for the movie. I'm probably going to pass on this one. He was pretty good a few years ago although his voice wasn't great. Since I'm on a fixed income now I'm going to pass on this one. His ticket prices are pretty high high high.

Spokane is a pretty small venue for him. Good place to warm up for the tour. I still haven't been to Climate Pledge Arena. I had a chance for good tickets for Foo Fighters but in the end decided it was more money than I'd like to spend for them. I saw them play T-Mobile & it wasn't too great. I'm spoiled as I saw them more than once in the very early days including their first ever show in England. I'm sure Paul will be good as he has a crack band. His thing about not drinking water during a 2.5 hour show is strange though. At his age he's earned the right to have a few eccentricities. It's not good for his voice though. I've seen literally hundreds of concerts over the years so I can be picky now. I get much more excited about discovering something new in a small venue. Case in point: I saw New Zealand band The Beths @ Neumos a few weeks ago. They were fantastic! & the opening band (Lunar Vacation) were excellent, too. I must say that most of the clubs in Seattle are really great about the disabled seating. Neumos set up a table for me in a prime spot on the balcony, then put a sign on it saying the table was reserved in case I had to go get something to drink, etc. I'm going to see Drive-by Truckers @ the Showbox tonight & they do something similar for me. I believe that my days of attending shows is very finite & I appreciate their consideration. I couldn't go without it.

Considering the way the "music industry" is these days with crap pay from most streaming platforms, it makes a lot of sense that the USA is the main focus. I forget here I read that Mick has essentially complained about touring Europe because of so many different languages and borders, it gets expensive and blah blah blah.

Non-VIP and non-Platinum presale tickets for Seattle were $185 - $540 usd with fees.

That's $235 - $690 Canadian. Ouch. Enjoy your disposable income, boomers.
