Re: OT Any love for Wings?

First and foremost Hi Hi Hi and the albums Band Of The Run & Wings Over America, then London Town for its relaxed atmosphere (although the early version available on boots is much better because less "produced" imo), then Venus & Mars. All the other Wings stuff like much of the rest of Paul's solo output is hit & miss for me, too uneven to really appreciate it, ranging from good stuff to cringeworthy.

Could someone here please help me with a link to the early version of london town? Thx

Any love for Wings ?? No , none whatsoever

Yes! I have most of Paul's stuff (Solo, Wings, that other band). I truly like a large portion of it.

As far as buying stuff, I'd start with Red Rose Speedway thru Back To The Egg, then expand.

Must haves:

BOTR
V & M
Wings Over America
Flowers In The Dirt

Classics! I would add Ram, Flaming Pie, and Chaos & Creation to the essentials list. Pretty solid body of work!

Used to pictures with Keith & Telecaster, I thought: why is this picture mirrored? Of course I know that Paul is left-handed, but at the first glance it is confusing .... winking smiley

Paul's look-alike since 9-Nov-1966 .... winking smiley

New album, McCartney III, should be due out December 11th.

Paul has recorded a new album during lockdown, performed and produced by himself, as per McCartney I & II, hence the title.

Looking forward to this!

Keep him away from Ryan Tedder this time, and I’m excited.

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Only a new Stones album would be more exciting. Oh man, this is such good news, I am really, really, REALLY looking forward to this.

McCartney II is one of my favorite albums of all time. Even the bonus tracks are amazing - "Check My Machine" and "Secret Friend."

I'm such an old school fan that I remember being disappointed that he didn't put out McCartney III in 1990!

I’m a huge Paul McCartney fan. But he can’t sing anymore. His days as a powerhouse vocalist are done.

Exclusive Interview on Mc III

‘It’s just me’: an Exclusive Interview with Paul McCartney about McCartney III

...this is a good read.

excerpt: "...‘I feel very lucky’ – but it’s true. When I was a kid, all I wanted to do was plug a guitar into an amp and turn it up for that thrill, and it’s still there. So it’s not so much that I’m looking for something new, more that I’m looking for something to do to keep me off the streets."

Macca has done a 17 minute interview on BBC radio 6, in the uk

It has a few snippetts of Mac3, but spend half the time talking about Mac1 and Mac2

Mccartney is in that talking and not saying much mood, and of course how he loved the other guys in the beatles

Mccartney IV anyone?

Thanks, it's going to be a long wait till my pre-order green covered CD arrives in mid December, Hope it gets freed early like Driving Rain in 2001.
