I've reviewed Egypt Station for The Arts Desk - where I published the Twickenham Stones review in the summer (#bestgigoftheyear) - here is the link for Macca heads. I really really liked a bunch of songs, though I reckon it's 57 minuts could have been cut to 45 or so... But it's just great stuff, catchy as hell, some good riffery and a lean feel to it, except for the melodic fecundity... Only had a stream, and a day before I had to write, so it is a very instant review, more or less on one listen.

Don't want to sway opinions but on first play I'm not in love with the new CD. But yeah there are some catchy parts, just not enough to save it in my opinion. Maybe it will grow on me. On the more positive side I really like all these special events he's been doing lately. Can't wait to see him in December.

Hi MissMibbs!
I don't think we talk enough about how amazing it is that Mick can still sing the way he does at his age.Quote

I'm having my first spin of it now. We are lucky having Mick sounding as good as he does, regarding his age. Paul does not, imo.
That said, he wears his aging voice with pride, and the songs I've heard so far are pretty good/okay. Happy With You sounds promising.
