Paul is such a cool guy...I wish the Stones had gone on Howard Stern at some point.

"Save "Come on to Me", "I Don't Know" and "Fuh You," from the upcoming album Egypt Station for a chance to win access to a very special event in New York City!

Please do not enter this sweepstakes if you do not live within 250 miles of New York, NY."

Dylan at Isle of Wight - John and Yoko were also there:

And so were George (with Patti?) and Ringo (with Maureen?).

It would've been a Beatles reunion if Paul was there in that photo.

Maybe he and Linda were elsewhere?

Pretty sure around this time Paul and Linda were expecting their first child.
So family before Dylan, of course.

Yes - my post was in reply to jlowes post "George and Ringo + Wives...maybe others"? - which I should have quoted.

Sounds reasonable.

Interesting...Well I haven't seen God but I'll probably see Macca again live given he has announced a date at "our" UArena on 28/11/2018. Sadly it's seated in front and GA in the back like for Roger Waters so will have to wait for late drops...

Yuck! Love Paris but I hate seats on the floor. So un -rock and roll. Glad I'm already going to Krakow instead where it's GA on the whole floor.

Didn't John Lennon have the same experience? (also after taking LSD I think) I believe he had to be taken onto the Saville Row rooftop to calm down.
Or maybe he thought he was Jesus Christ come again, not sure.

Them drugs have a lot to answer for!

Robert Fripp can be seen watching from the side of the stage.

Well, King Crimson were an openning act, so just very normal that he was there.

The "story" was that Paul had to do acid because John was tripping on it during the Sgt Pepper sessions and he took him up to the roof, supposedly so George Martin wouldn't notice/get upset, and felt he had to drop some acid to "accompany" him.

Oh and still no leaks [hasitleaked.com] incredible !

till there was you was good
very versatile that cute one
that comes from showboazt i think.
maybe tosca i'm not sure,
but think about it. ok?

he's not the 'smart' one but that was pretty clever, don't you think?
it shows a certain breath and depth to his listening sources, does it not?
it IS a rather tuneful performance experience, don't you agree?

ok, you think I have days and nights to waste time asking questions that no one even bother to try to respond, isn't that the case?
isn't it?
that's not very 'fan-friendly' or do you think I've lost the trail?
?

I hate reviews today giving this album fantastic praise and I can't tell if its just cause its McCartney or because it really is great. I really hope its a great record but he hasn't made one for me in awhile and usually the overpraised reviews actually lessen the record to me. Cause now I'm expecting something from Macca when otherwise I'd just listen happy he's still out there doing it, but knowing it'll largely be forgettable.

I wish reviews were more honest these days. Its not like he'll stop making albums if Rolling Stone gives him a negative review. But 4 stars? Really? Guy's only ever made a few great solo albums to begin with and you're gonna rank this one with some of the best? Find it hard to believe but I hope its good.

Reviews from professional critics are for the most part useless (be it music, film, art, etc.), and I stopped paying attention to them many years ago - it's just someone's opinion.

Rolling Stone gave Goddess in the Doorway 5 stars, and A Bigger Bang 4.5 stars...eye rolling smiley...enough said.

I guess its succeeded in getting me interested in an album I probably never would have listened to. Did the same thing with New, which overall I thought was fairly bland and forgettable. I haven't really liked an album of McCartney's since the Firemen Electric Arguments one, which I thought was tremendous.

Is there a place like IORR but for McCartney fans?
I mean with pretty reliable rumoured dates?
He announces this tour one date at a time. Very frustrating.
You can’t plan anything like that.

Absolutely agree! WTF, I made plans for Wien but I would have preferred to see a gig sooner and closer to home (Germany). How strange, the later one's announced first.

No IORR equivalent for Macca AFAIK, the guys on SteveHoffman are quick to pick up stories though and there is his official forum maccaboard but the format changed recently and it's not really user friendly anymore.

For those who missed it, here's a track by track runthrough by the man himself [www.youtube.com] - stuff that used to be on EPKs that the public never used to see !

You can go to the official website and sign up for the e-mail list. I'm on his e-mail list from long ago, and I still get e-mails for upcoming tour dates. They're in advance of the on-sale dates. You can always unsubscribe when the tour is over.

Interesting to note Macca confirming dates so far in advance.
That rather dispels the theory that Legacy Acts (in particular) don't confirm until 3-4 months from the first date of the tour.
No doubt though Stones Inc will continue with their usual policy.

There’s only one Macca. There are 4 Stones and given their ages, the chances of cancellation go up markedly as Ill health of any one of the 4 cancels the tour. Cancellation Insurance is payable per day between anouncement and show dsy.

A good very recent example is the postponement of No Filer Part 1 by a few months due To Ronnie’s cancer scare. It was all planned with Venues booked but the contract was not signed. In the end we got 4 months’ notice of the rescheduled NF Part 1 tour, which is a lot for the Stones who normally give us 2 -3 months.

The official Macca board but you’ll need a login due to recent format changes. Also sign up to his Facebook page and you’ll be informed as the dates are anounced. I got a tip off about the Paris Bercy presale in 2016 and scored GA for 73€ . Very frustratingly, he always anouncesc his shows a few at a time rather than all in one go.

This thread on IORR might actually be one of the best Macca places on the web grinning smiley

I don’t have problems getting tickets.

I thought Eric Clapton announced Hyde Park 2018 really early,
then didn’t hear much about it probably because the RS were still on tour.
Anyway, I looked up Eric and seems his is still playing live how he wants and when he wants wonder how ‘The Core’ sounded in 2018 it says here it was revived
