Lou Reed in Paris

I saw Lou last night in Paris Grand Rex (old cinema with 3300 seats).
It was my tenth show in 30 years.
Thanks Lord, there was a drummer (last tour in 2003 was without drummer!!).
2 hours show with a curious setlist including 5 songs from the last Cd called The Raven, 11 "obscur" songs and 2 hits as encores (Perfect day and Walk on the wild side).
No Velvet Underground songs.
Lou was in a good mood but didn't seem in good shape.
All in all, a good show better than last time but lesser than in the past.

What do you mean by "not in good shape"? That has actually been one of his fortes as of late. He has really been healthy. Which 11 obscure tunes did he play?
I LOVE Lou Reed.

Here is the setlist :
Adventurer - The proposition (both from Set the twilight reeling)
My house (the blue mask)
Ecstasy
Guilty
Mad
Talking book (very weak)
Slip away
Charley's girl (best song of the show)
Burning embers
Halloween parade
Change
Vanishing act
Why do you talk
Guardian angel
Blue mask
1st encore : Perfect day
2nd encore : Walk on the wild side

Lou is very yellow, walks carefully, hardly bends to say goodbye
I diagnose a liever illness (ictere, cyrrhosis, hepatosis or cancer) and i'm a doctor.

Street Hassle is one of the greatest songs ever written. Lou hasn't come close to matching that quality since The Blue Mask.

Lou played in Portugal last week. I didn`t attend the concert but I think the setlist was quit the same. Lou is great and for me is the best songwriter.
