Thanks! I noticed alternate Dead Flowers says "recorded by Glyn Johns" rather than "engineered" like the other studio out takes. Seems maybe the basic tracks for alternate Brown Sugar were laid down and then they overdubbed. Maybe Richards' acoustic and Taylor's solo.

Strange that. Although they can be the same, generally engineering a session involves more than just recording a session. Not sure if this is just a descriptive difference or some intentional thing due to contractual concerns and possibly monetary issues. Good catch.

It seems they were either sloppy with these overall credits or very astute and careful due to legal issues.

peace

Some people, e.g. Mathijs, have remarked that the Dead Flowers outtake sounds like a '71 tour rehearsal or something like that. It may very well be something recorded on or in conjunction with that tour, in which case it makes sense that the credit is similar to the Roundhouse tracks, which where ”recorded by” Andy Johns. According to Bill Wyman, Johns recorded several of the '71 shows with the mobile.

<<I think they are the only artist on US chart history with Top 5 albums on 6 different and consecutive decades.>>

Well, finally, they seem to have surpassed the Beatles at last.

until the beatles do a re-issue... ;-)

the beatles are actually one of the top-selling acts of the 2000-2015 period amazingly enough.

On the other hand. At what place would STICKY FINGERS DELUXE have ended with 45.000 copies sold, which it did counting the various formats.

With all sales combined: #4

(-) 1. Muse: Drones (Helium-3/Warner Bros.) - 84,000
(2) 2. Taylor Swift: 1989 (Big Machine) - 64,000
(-) 3. Of Monsters & Men: Beneath the Skin (Republic) - 61,000
(1) 4. Florence + the Machine: How Big How Blue How Beautiful (Republic) - 37,000
(-) 5. The Rolling Stones: Sticky Fingers (UME) - 36,000
(5) 6. Ed Sheeran: X (Atlantic) - 34,000
(13) 7. Sam Hunt: Montevallo (MCA Nashville) - 31,000
(3) 8. A$AP Rocky: AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP (RCA) - 29,000
(10) 9. Maroon 5: V (222/Interscope) - 29,000
(8) 10. Meghan Trainor: Title (Epic) - 27,000

thumbs up
If THE ROLLING STONES had included the video of GIMME SHELTER with FLORENCE live at the O2 Arena London 2012 in STICKY FINGERS DELUXE it could have been a NUMBER 1!

Double post on purpose..... Just watched GIMME SHELTER with FLORENCE on YouTube. Wanted to post it, but I am a looser baby.

The Roundhouse tunes are great. They make a fabulous sort of 'live EP' on their own!

If this is all we get from this show...I'm fine wid dat!!!

Seems like they'd get the liner notes info correct for such an overhyped delayed reissue.

You're not having any new songs at all?

The Roundhouse tracks and the Marquee tracks are overall in good audio quality, Roundhouse clearly being the best of all.

But the Leeds gig is, after all, a bit sub par. The drums (cymbals!) are badly mixed, the piano is less audible than from what I recall of the best mono bootleg version and Taylor's guitar is too low in the mix on most songs. Best Leeds song audiowise is Love In Vain.

All in all they better had presented us a full Roundhouse, if necessary composed of both gigss.

I purchased the Treacle Fingers LP set today. £30, shipping included. I don't know if that's expensive, but I'm just glad I managed to get this one, as I thought I had missed this limited release.

I bought it here: [www.recordstore.co.uk]

thanks for the hint

From Billboard:

"— The Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers (Super Deluxe) - No. 65 — The Rolling Stones’ classic Sticky Fingers album was reissued on multiple formats on June 9, including a “super deluxe” version, which arrives at No. 65 with 9,000 units (nearly all from traditional album sales). The set tracks separately from the main Sticky Fingers album (which re-enters at No. 5 with 36,000 units) due to its abundance of bonus content. The Sticky Fingers redux is the third such expansive reissue that the Stones have undertaken in recent years, following reboots of Exile On Main St. (in 2010) and Some Girls (in 2011). Billboard estimates that the three remastered and reissued albums have sold a combined 606,000 copies in the U.S. since their reintroduction to the marketplace. That sum equates to 21 percent of The Rolling Stones’ overall album sales since the start of 2010."

So, about 3 million copies sold during the last 5 years in the U.S, an average of 500,000 copies sold by year, only albums.
