I'm hoping for a disc with outtakes. Should be plenty left in alternates and outtakes to choose from.

Given the tracks already featured on METAMORPHOSIS or EXILE RARITIES, I'm expecting a package with the original album, an official release of GET YER LEEDS LUNGS OUT, and an official DVD of LIVE AT THE MARQUEE. Not anticipating any additional studio outtakes or alternate versions.

I heard the same from an Universal source, the best we can get is 3 or 4 outtakes on the SF original album after Moonlight Mile.

Unless something has been amended, the contract with Promotone prevents bonus tracks being added to the same disc as the album to preserve the integrity of the original recording.

I think most of Sticky Fingers era "outtakes" are already available on Metamorphosis and Exile 2010 reissue.

What could be possibly included would be early versions of some songs of the original album (Brown Sugar and Wild Horses from Muscle Shoals sessions), alternate mixes or alternate takes and a couple of instrumentals (Leather Jacket, Who Am I, Potted Shrimps...). So a live album as bonus wouldn't be a bad thing...

I don't know what else is out there (not a big bootleg/sessions guy so I don't know whats already out there or from around that same time), but it would be nice if they could round up the rest of disc 1 with some stuff that deserves an official release. Brown Sugar with Eric Clapton, @#$%& Blues. They must have half an hour of material they could tack on there. Although I'm not getting my hopes up and I'd be fine with a live bonus disc.

+ Fast Talking, Slow Walking?

They won't release Leather Jacket smiling smiley The instrumental outtake sounded very much like the finalised Taylor-version, didn't it?

Just for the titles they should be released….lol. I like Who Am I and of course Travelling Man, but have never heard over half of these. Another reason to release the hounds….haha

Don't forget these songs and/or titles. All are pre-Sticky Fingers, but not included on the official release and were not ready for Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed sessions. The Stones worked on this tracks 68-70:

BLOOD RED WINE
MEMO FROM TURNER (Stones-version)
STUCK OUT ALL ALONE (aka Hamburger To Go)
HIGHWAY CHILD
HOLD ON, I'M COMING
HILL SIDE BLUES (aka I Don't Know The Reason Why) + Bobby Keys!!!
@#$%& BLUES
RED HOUSE (recorded oct. 1970, yes written by J.Hendrix)
100 YEARS AGO (early version)

Part of the issue with such suggestions are whether the masters are held by ABKCO or Promotone. Even given the greater cooperation between the two parties now that Jody Klein runs the company, STICKY FINGERS outtakes would have to be licensed by ABKCO to Promotone just as was done with the original album.

That must have been the case with some of the Exile Bonus cuts?

ABKCO has all of those tracks, just as the SF tracks are all ABKCO Music and some on EXILE. But that doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. Who knows. I found those songs on Nico's site, there's no way to know if they were actually done or turned in to something else but it certainly gives a nod to more things in the can.

The talk about the tour is great, but what about the product it's promoting ?

Will it even be a promotion? 15 on Fire? Will there even be a product to coincide with the tour?

The product is nostalgia...nostalgic merchandise and nostalgic things stuck in Keith's hair when he hits the stage nostalgically. Nostalgic performances and greatest hits packages sold in multiple nostalgic formats...relic'd shirts and worn out tongues...all for sale with financing available

Nostalgia, like greed is good. It sells.
15's on fire alright

It sounds like artificial nostalgia to me, or am I wrong?

For christ sakes, shall we just wait before they release/do anything before the classic judgement of "they don't know their own legacy, we know what they should do"?

What nostalgia isn't artificial?

What product to promote? Since when does that matter? Three times now the Stones have toured with only a hits comp as something to push. Were they pushing the Simian Mistake in 2013 and 2014? Hell no!

Yeah, I guess that would make sense. I'm just so anxious for either tour dates or this album release. But I really want this album to be true.
