I think I would rather see a Jagger-induced mid 70's re-release. Something cebtering on GHS/IORR/B&B. Because like Jagger said: Exile overlaps with SF.
Over Sticky Fingers???? No way.

Canada is famous for maple syrup. That and the new Ebola treatment that we're sending to WHO for further testing. Supposed to be in the field by January.

We're taking after you here, with our Birch syrup, but it tastes nowhere near as good as yours...

I'm really hoping this is true. My favorite Stones album and IMO is desperately in need of a remaster and deluxe edition.

I agree about the deluxe part RollingFreak and that it's a plain, flat out fkn masterpiece but I don't hear a reason to remaster it really. These days they'll probably just compress it a little more and double the bandwidth of it which all they're really doing ultimately is making it louder in my opinion. It was very well mixed to begin with by Miller I think - exceptionally so in fact - and the mastering was just fine at the time also. Bottom/mids and top end were all appropriately placed I think. All instrumentation for each song has space of it's own. I just hope that the outtake disc (if they do one) doesn't have gumpf ala Keith mumbling to something like he does on "Soul survivor" on the Exile one.

One of the best-sounding and best-mixed albums ever, imo.

No Potted Shrimp? That one seems ready for vocals. Fast Talking, Slow Walking is another good one.
I can see Brown Sugar with Clapton for sure!

I'm guessing they'll brickwall SF and make disc 2 part of the release like they did with SOME GIRLS when they should make it a stand alone release ala EXILE.

They did do the standalone for exile, but it really wasn't available everywhere and it wasn't marketed all that well. I think the vast majority of buyers bought it together with Exile as the deluxe set.
That said I agree...I think they should have released the Some Girls cuts as a completely different album, even a different title. Give it it's own identity.
That Some Girls disc two is a classic in it's own right.

There will be a Stones release on Universal in Q1 2015, I'm hearing. Let's hope it's the SF reissue.
