Expect a DVD of the Marquee show to be a part of it.

I hope you're right, and parhaps an extended version with more songs from the setlist than just the ones on bootlegs/broadcast, ie. SFM,JJF,LIV,SCB. And while thei're at it, I'd say it's a good opportunity to release a concert from '71 combined with the best from Brighton, Liverpool, Leeds and London.

More songs would be great, but a remixed soundtrack (stereo from multitracks) is absolutely essential. The common mono mix is unsatisfatory to say it nicely.

A SF release would be cool, but I would much prefer new music.

With Bill Wyman on every cut. Maybe that's why there's not a toss away song among the bunch.

No source cited, but a post @ Shidoobee claims there'll be a DVD that includes both the Marquee '71 show and the Montreux rehearsals from 1972.

Disappointing to say the least...

Is it official confirmed that S.F. gets a deluxe box for the end of this year?
I mean two boxsets releasing straight after each other looks like a little too much. That's not realy smart commercially wise.

Reissue has not been confirmed.

However, simultaneous releases aren't unprecedented. The "Some Girls" reissue and "Some Girls: Live In Texas" were out at the same time in 2011.

Both were offered in less expensive options than a Deluxe box set. If/when released, "Sticky Fingers" will doubtless be the same.

Live in Texas was not a real expensive one, just a dvd/blu ray with cd and a LP set with cd (or was it dvd?). That is not realy the same. Now you have two expensive boxsets to buy if you want it all.

There was a Japan only release of a deluxe "Some Girls: Live In Texas".

Not to mention both of those, and Checkerboard, came during the archive project. I think Tokyo actually came out the day after Checkerboard if I'm not mistaken.

If SF was being released this year, it would have been advertised by now.

They aren't going to release Sticky Fingers or Hampton '81 till next year, Hyde Park is their release for the holiday season so that pushes everything else back.

I'd imagine thats the most likely situation at present.

Eagle Rock arent going to flood the market with almost simultaneous releases.

Hopefully they'll use a new remaster and not the awful 2009 remaster...

Dammit. I like to listen to Sticky Fingers in the fall because it seems like a autumn record to me. Not in the spring! March/April will not work, Mick! smiling smiley
