Compensation for me going to Stones gigs

With all the negative comments about the Stones playing, personal interaction, dis-interest in playing 2 sets per might (like they are still in their 20s...), plus of course the obsession with "who gets paid what"...

I'm thinking they should have paid me to attend their gigs....

They are your clients. They work for you, hence you pay them to play. So if you do not feel that you are getting a good value, then simply do not go. Or, do like many of us did.. buy lottery tickets..

If the Stones are so terribly bad, then how come 65,000 people pay 95 pounds or more each to see them, and how come everyone stay until this terribly bad show is finished? So many stupid people?

Because they are the rolling stones, not because they play good, that's all!

Sadly nobody understands my English irony.... I am just fed up with all this "how much do they get paid", " I don't like this or that", "they must do this for us".

Don't worry about how much the band and support gets paid; just enjoy the music when they feel they want to play. Treat every section of tour like its the last gig you will see.

This has been discussed to death in the thread about hight ticket prices. I am surprised that this is still a subject. If people feel bad about the Stones for some reason they should turn on the cold tap water on full power, and put their head under it for a minute or five. Then may be the brain cells start working like they once upon a time did work. They get weaker by age.

And soon I will merge this thread into this one:

The ticket prices and other complaints thread :

PS. Irony does not work well internationally. People are all very different.

I am English also, the citadel, and when meeting someone face to face,I think I am a pretty good judge of character.
On forums at times, you gotta have a degree in psychology to see what people are really saying.
I agree with what you are saying in your last post. winking smiley

It's kind of amazing, even after you explicitly point out what was blatantly obvious -- that he was being sarcastic -- people still react as if he was making the point EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of the point he was making. Even the board moderator misses the point completely.

I for one did understand. And I greatly appreciate the way you expressed your thoughts. More irony please.
