Stones playing at Jazz clubs in Copenhagen coming days?
Posted by: Kuntaman ()
Date: October 2, 2017 18:35

Just read on Danish Tv's text, they claim that the Stones will play three gigs at a jazz club in Denmark! I don't believe it myself, but!smiling smiley

The club is named Hotel Danmark, at Vester Voldgade. The club owners name is Niels Lan Doky and he claims that members of Stones will perform.
Anybody else heard anything about this?

Posted by Irix on the Copenhagen thread:

From the official RS-Twitter and RS-Facebook:

"The Rolling Stones are really looking forward to playing the Parken Stadium tomorrow night but want to make it clear to fans they will NOT be playing a club show in Copenhagen and there are no plans for any club shows on the current No Filter tour."

Unfortunately nothing to find yet. sad smiley

It would be interesting which RS-Touring-Band members played in the "Rolling Stones Project" at Copenhagen's National Museum.

I'm quite sure there would have been a lot of press-reports if Charlie had joined in ....

Tim Ries is doing a few shows on his own, with local musicians at various locations on this No Filter US Tour 2019. In addition, he is going to London on a quick trip, to do a show booked before the Stones rescheduled their tour, during the Boston to New Orleans break:

Jesús Carmona with Tim Ries, Adam Ben Ezra and David Peña Dorantes — Flamenco meets Jazz
Sadler's Wells
Rosebery Avenue, London, EC1R, England/UK
10 July 2019

For tickets and more info see this:

As for the Tim Ries "solo" and Band 2 shows in the US anmd Canada this summer, he did one show in Chicago, release påarty with Bernard Fowler, then he did one show in Toronto Canada, and there is listed a show in the Glendale/Phoenix thread.

Tim will play Feb 10th at 7pm NYC time and it will also be on demand through Feb 17th.

The leader is drummer Marcello Pellitteri. It’s an annual gig at Birdland in NYC to raise money for a music scholarship in the name of his daughter who died about 10 years ago. This year it was filmed at Birdland with no audience due to covid.
The rest of the band is:
Donny McCaslin-tenor sax
David Gilmore-guitar
Tim Ries-tenor and soprano sax and piano.

I saw the Rolling Stones Project several years ago at The Falcon and it was very enjoyable. Bernard Fowler sat in on a few songs and the other musicians in the group were superb. It's is an excellent venue and the show will be outdoors.
