I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing but, I'll bet in 10-20 years or so when the boys are gone, or no longer playing (we all know it's gonna happen), this act will be playing Vegas with a few additions as the next best thing. Don't tell me it's not crossing their minds.

Tim and this Hungarian gypsy band played a great set yesterday evening in Paris. He has recorded with them before, and is doing so again. A very interesting fusion of styles and instruments.

If you can get to Madrid gig, well worth the effort, or the CD whenever it comes out.

Bittersweet, seeing Bjornulf's post from 2014 when Tim appeared at Hugh's Room here. The venue, one of our most loved, closed its doors on Friday, likely forever. Music fans here are gutted.

Speaking of the Ritz Carlton in Shanghai, one of the members of the jazz quartet there (at least in 2006) taught Darryl Jones bass in his early years. I had a great conversation with the gentleman before and after the Stones show. I caught up with Darryl and mentioned it to him. He was surprised and asked me to send his 'warmest regards'. I went back a day or two after the gig, and had another chat with the guy. Not sure if the quartet at the Ritz is the same but if anyone goes, check it out.

The show last night at Orfeum was outstanding!!!
Freedom, excellence, and spirit was in the air.

The set list:

1. SFM
2. No Expectations
3. Paint It Black
4. HTW
5. BS
6. Waiting On A Friend
7. GS
8. Ruby Tuesday
9. Satisfaction

(O.K. mostly warhorses, but in what a way of presentation... smiling smiley )

If you happen to be tonight in Hungary in the countryside you may catch them in the city of Debrecen from 19:30:

I can only recommend it. Tim has a great great personality! He was walking around the tables in the venue by playing his sax during Honky Tonk.

In the show break we agreed with Tim that we have big hopes to see him in the summer in Vienna with "his" big band as well.. :-)

Lat's hope Tim plays in London with his own band and the big band. He was great last time in both formats!
