I'm sure most of you have heard about this blood transfusion thing, first off is it true? Secondly does anyone know where and when this/these occured? (Under the watchful eye of count Dracula I would presume).

It never happend. It was rumoured to be in the Swiss.

Pure myth, supposedly he had it done in Switzerland.

Just like he used to ski the alps when he was a junkie.

They happened in Switzerland so that Keith could obtain a visa to enter the United States in 1975.

It also happened in 1973 before the UK/Europe tour.

Years ago I read an interview with that woman called
Janis Ian. Around 1988 or so.
She maintained that Keith has his blood replaced ever
6 months in some private hospital in Switzerland.
Don't know about the truth of the story though.

Today Rocks Off feature a fine, "cute" pic of a young, undestroyed, yet not even rich jagger.

Not a blood transfusion, but in several bios about Keith, it's being said that he and Anita, and young Marlon, liver ad the Montreux Palace Hotel, and that Keith left Anita with Spanish Tony in the hotel, and went to the Clinique La Prairie to undergo dialysis.
Mostly done on people who's kidneys are not capable of rinsing the blood. He was sedated, they ran his own blood through a dialysis machine, then into his veins again, and he woke up clean, withouth having to go through withdrawal pains.
According to his pusher, Tony Sanchez, when Keith came back to The Montreux Palace, Anita was still on smack, and after a few days, so was Keith.
The couple were thrown out of the hotel because he fell asleep with a cigarette still burning, and set fire to the bed...
I haven't been able to get this confirmed by the hotel management in Montreux, but the people at George V, Four Seasons, in Paris, can tell a similar story...
So, not somebody elses blood, not a dracula-session, but his blood was rinsed in dialysis. So say rthe biographers.

I remember talking to one of Ronnie's Smack providers in the early 80's, He had
pictures of him & Ronnie and some of Ronnie's Artwork so he had to be close..

He said Ronnie's was in Mexico at the time "drying out"
and mentioned something about $5000 and a full blood tranfusion that avoids
withdrawals.... must be something to it!! MLC

I think KR and others used transfusions or some type of blood cleansing. It can be done. Where there is smoke there is usually fire.
