Bad Gas = Bill's Departure

I heard somewhere about 15 years ago that Bill Wyman had to leave because he suffered from serious gastrointestinal inflammation, and couldn't be counted on to stay on-stage for 2+ hours without having to run to relieve himself.

Is this true?!

i never heard that! he plays in his own band.....i know he hates to fly.. and you can't do a stones tour without flying....plus i think he just got tired of being a rolling stone!

Maybe the rest of the Rolling Stones were tired of being confused as the Slow Rollers!

I recall reading Philip Norman's (I think that's his name) book about the Stones which came out in the mid 80's. He said that on the 81 tour , there was a toilet somewhere in the back of the stage so if Mick had to use it, he could run off stage quickly.

This is part of the reason adult diapers (depends, etc.) were invented, so aging rock stars could still perform into their retirement years. Perhaps all that posing by Keith and Ronnie everyone talks about is simply an issue of crapping into their diapers. Mick has to be carefful though, all that running around, you wouldn't want any falling out the sides or squishing around too much, causing a rash.

Does anyone want to work "vibrato" into this conversation?
