JJ Cale Has Passed Away

JJ Cale passed away at 8:00 pm on Friday July 26
at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, CA.

The legendary singer / songwriter had suffered a heart attack.
There are no immediate plans for services.
His history is well documented at JJCale.com, rosebudus.com/cale,
and in the documentary, To Tulsa And Back.

Donations are not needed but he was a great lover of animals so, if you like,
donations can be made to your favorite local animal shelter.

This is really sad news. JJ became hugely popular in the mid 70s with great albums like Really, Naturally, Okie, and Troubador. He was the epitome of the laid back guitarist and Eric Clapton borrowed big time for him. RIP Breeze. Keep blowin' down the road.

This is really sad news.
I got a particular connection with John and for me, it is as sad as if Mick, Keith or Charlie had passed away.
Musically speaking, I learnt to play the guitar on his lps, bought each and every of them, played every song and solo.
Man, this is hard!!!
Rest In Peace and thank you for your music, inspiration and example.
