I think it's a great song. KR's best vocals IMO

Does anyone know if Keith perform it with the Winos/solo?

I know it hasn't been performed with the Stones

thanks in advance

Gorgeous song. Great lyrics, vocals, fine bass (Taylor?), and excellent sax from Bobby. Could have been a signature piece live. Maybe they didn't want to do it because it's a very long song with lots of parts and a bit of a downer emotionally. But it's as real as it gets.

Deep song reflecting the loneliness and self-centredness of drug abuse.

Yes it is. Quite a different take on this than the "macho" Keith we usually hear.

Of all the songs Keith does live, which to his credit he actually rotates his songs quite well, I can't believe this has never come out. You'd think he'd obviously do all his classic pre-Tattoo You songs live, plus the newer ones since they were probably promoting that tour. I don't know how in 20+ years of the current model they have, there's never been a discussion or reason given for why this song hasn't come out. If they can do Slipping Away and Thru and Thru (longish songs that aren't that upbeat), they can do Coming Down Again.

Maybe this one is a bit too real for him emotionally? Just my guess...

"Slip my tongue" must be about him taking Anita from Brian. His autobio song at that time.

Lovely song! Keith has said he'll never do it live "because it's too personal".

Not comparing to songs really, more his self-created image and the book, etc.

Can you imagine Chuck on the 2013 version of this one...sharks would cry

I would trade all the times I've seen Keith do 'Slipping Away,' Thru & Thru,' 'The Worst,' 'How Could I Stop,' Gawd, any of them to see him do 'Coming Down Again' just once..!
