I have no interest in this tape but I hope RS will sell all the CD's they pressed.
It's been eons since sth new came in circulation from outside the torrent sites so a boot label that took a risk deserves our (financial) support imo.

I think this source is from the video. Very likely a mixed, though not final version, of the film/soundtrack. The type of sound and the limitations of the format reflect that type of gate/compressor setup as well as the natural distortion of analog tape. I could be wrong ofcourse but that is my gut feeling on hearing the above track.

Interesting... And could it have been de-hissed with a little too much force, hence the lossy feeling one (me) has when listening to the samples?

A uptempo song would have been better now to hear the sound from these tunes. Slow songs often sound best on boots . .

These samples are amazing! The sound is great, a bit hollow but therefore warm and spacious. Ronnie does minimal work but OK, and Mick shines with a deep, warm voice - much better on Love in vain than on the whispery, mannered studio version from Stripped. Fab!
