I'd rather have a reissue of "Now Look". It's hard to find clean vinyl copies of that one. "1234", not so much.

Really, didn't know this. I've got a mint lp of Now Look that I've had for years, thanks. By the way, it sounds great ripped to my iPod.

Ok, caplocks and bold are necessary for this...

DOES THIS MEAN IT WILL FINALLY GET REMIXED?

I love this record but HATE the sound! Outlaws is quite possibly the best song Ron ever wrote. Would love to hear Keith do it in his set!

Yeah agreed, I'd be interested in this if it was completely overhauled sonically. Love the songs but the production kills it. Unlistenable to me.

Gimme some neck is better

Re: re-issue 1234 Ronnie Wood

1234's sound is still wonderful compared to the hatchet job R.T. Baker does on "Neck". I love every Ron solo album and listen to them all often. But as good as the songwriting is on GSN, that terrible production and mix wears me down.
"1234" is just very loose. Sounds much like what it is: an album from the height of cocaine and liquor days, recorded on and in between the road. When I think of it w/o hearing it, what comes to mind are the ragged jams like title track or "Wind Howlin". But then I will hear a track like "Fountain of Love" , "Outlaws", "Priceless" and the song quality is way up there.

I too have a mint vinyl of Now Look, but no ipod, but I have it on CD as well should I want to listen in the car.
My personal favourite is still Got My Own Album To Do though, my vinyl of this is very well played

I've never been able to get hold of a copy, but surely the production couldn't be worse than Gimme Some Neck.

Only AC/DC's Blow Up Your Video rivals it for the most terrible production job ever.

I doubt it will be remixed. Remastered yes, every title I've gotten from Wounded Bird has had some good remastering.

I've a 2CD Castle set in their 'that's original' line which has 1234 and Gimme Some Neck. Dated 1990. The booklet is crap and I probably haven't played it since I got so I can't speak for the quality.

The mix on that one is a crime to music. But the songs are good.
