Stones and their drug problems

The drug problems of the various Stones have been well documented. From the early busts of Mick and Keef in the 60's, to Brian being pretty much toasted when he got the boot from the band, drugs have been a major part of this band for a long time.

There were more drug busts for Keith in the 70's and Ronnies long time battle with booze and drugs and many rehabs. Mick Taylor has had trouble with the dope during his tenure with the band and even more so after he left. I don't think Bill did much other that the odd reefer but not much has ever been said about Charlie. His herion addiction in the mid to late 1980's was pretty hushed up in the press.

Granted, I'm unclear what the topic up for discussion is here - however, not every post has to be relevant to the Stones in 2013.

WOW excuse me, you mean to tell me that IORR is now only going to be about topics that happened to the Stones in the last 5 minutes?

BV you had better wipe clean about 99% of the posts off this forum then....

Rolling Stones only drug problem was when they ran out of drugs.

I think the sarcasm here is unnecessary.

So, you're all so quiet with the Mick's silky shirts threads, Gary the rodent's adventures, the tabloid gossip about who is fathering who, etc etc, and you jump on this guy just because he started a thread about something you already know about?

Sometimes I get the feeling many of you deserve the silly shit posted around.

Liberum arbitrium, for better or worse.

What IS interesting to me is not rehashing what we all know, but I'd love more info from insiders about what we don't know. For instance, when Keith got off heroin he said he was giving up drugs. As a teenager, I believed that meant everything and stupid me was actually surprised to learn he was still doing coke and smoking weed, plus drinking a lot. Now we all know he was doing coke up to age 62. I just wonder what a typical day was like for Keith pre-head thunk; what was the extent of his daily drug intake? How did his wife and kids like Dad's nasty habits?

Nothing wrong with the subject, but the initial post has no question or new revelations -- it's unclear what its purpose is. Sorry, cn854.

I was thinking that too. Sarcasm w/a sprinking of rudeness. Yes, OP could have been more clear on his aim, but geez....

Keith should graduate on over to the Absinthe. We'll get one more Wonderful Wino aural magnifico.
