That is really great stuff.

It is hard too believe the five Stones took the tube to end the afteernoon in a suburb flat looting a fridge.

So fresh.

Cheers.

Yep, and Keith puked in the bathtub, and loads of hasch was smoked, and they finished of some whisky too. All this is true.

What a great way to wake up! They played that stadium but I see hundreds of empty seats up on the sides! So unlike the tours since. Did they sell tickets for the seats on the sides!

I always liked the way the crowds sang the chorus to JJF. The Europe 1970 crowds seem a lot warmer than American crowds were in 1969.

They only sold tickets to the sides of the stadium, nobody was supposed to be in front of the stage! So the audience stormed down on the fotballground in front of the stage, that´s why there is so many cops!

Ok, sorry Ville (pliiz, hush on my name, man)...
Just didnt find the main site.
- Yep, nice stuff.
Got the story straight from Ove in some different sequences & sessions
on phone, thru radio interview etc, but as everybody knows:
"One picture says more than a thousand words... "
...That´s where we´re goin: Ove as the oldest still-active fan,
now he is goin world-famous... Not all fans have had all the Stones in their
livin-room

As I was told by Ove, the reason why they travelled by subway was that the girls,
Marianne F & Anita Pallenberg, used the limo for shopping...
I´d believe mr Brandis will ever praise Womankind´s faiblesse for shopping...
Still; they are many things you can and could then buy in that city...

I´ve heard another Big Swedish profile, Per "Stig Vig" Odeltorp in another interview -
with me (and friends Massa & Inko, using this bassist/vocalist´s old Magic Silver Microphones
from Träd, gräs och stenar contemporary with the Råsunda events above) -
22 years ago, saying that the Råsunda gig in 1970
was one of the best concert he had ever been hitting.
- ...Can anyone confirm or deny (... ?) that the Stones played Stockholm in 1972,
as well. The Wyman-day-by-day edition I have doesnt strech to -72...

No concerts in 1972, that´s when the STP was running wild across America.
However, in 1973, there was two concerts in the same day at Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Pics coming soon, of course! Baboon, you need to read some more books than Wymanssmiling smiley In Oves book, all swedish concerts are listed and reviewed, with complete setlists, and backstage actionsmiling smiley

But I have a question also, I have the boot "Made In Sweden" from 1970, it contains all 3 concerts in Sweden (Malmö, Stockholm and Gothenburg), but the one from Råsunda is not complete, only 9 songs! Anyone have a complete recording from Råsunda?

The soundquality from these 3 gigs are not the best, but for me, being from Gothenburg, it´s hilarious hearing some locals commenting on how the Stones, and especially Keith looks when they go on stage.

Also, if someone have pics from Gothenburg 1970, I would be most greatful!
Just mail me.

Even if it doesnt colour every word in my postings, I assure you, mickijaggeroo, that I have read tons of books. But Bill, as well as some other authors, gets tiring for us rookies in the business... And I´m not a collector, yet think I understand the mentality of you who are... So I had the book beside me for some six months, but last week I gave it back to the guy I borrowed it from... Still I havent touched the goddamn thing during the last two months, cause I dont want to make 'dogs ears' on it.
Thing was, back in -83, we made a radio program (that one never broadcasted) on rock music 1970-72; that´s why I got the imagination of a 1972 gig.
On Keiths look 1970; Ove said and wrote (didnt he?) that Keith looked like a burnt-down churchyard in his jaw... Take a look at Ed Sullivan´s 1969-Stones-video, and you get the picture.

I was just pulling your leg! No need to get excited! I´m from Gothenburg, remember? We do that to all people, we have no respect whatsoeversmiling smiley

I agree that Wymans book is pretty boring, you read it once, just to get it done.
And I read it in english, wich is not my natural language, so the pain was doublesmiling smiley His other book, Rollling With The Stones is so much better.

In fact there are a lot of better books out there regarding the facts about concerts and recordingsessions. To many to mention really, but I will make one exception. A very nice guy by the name of Martin Elliot (who was at the Cirkusgig in Stockholm 2003) wrote a book called the Complete Recording Sessions, wich has come out in a second edition a couple of years ago. Highly recommended reading.

And you are absolutely right about Keiths teeth!

I´m on the Top Ten Chart of Most-sensitive-ego-chart on this forum...
No; but that´s the point... I have not much else than the albums, a few boots that I´ve collected the last weeks... But I´m a heavy reader.

Göteborg is the home of Kålle and Ada, we all know that:
Did you know (wouldnt think so) that I used to live in Berrrrgsjönnn, did my shopping at Kåttedåla Tôrg, post office at Rymdtorget & all this took place in year 1985 among pastel & braindead Music Box-pop-videos & ice hockey hairstyles... Still, the joke-crackin respectlessness of Gothenburg/Göteborg saved my mental health.

Soon you got mail, Ville.
Very cool pictures of Stones in 1973,
yet its sad to see the state of Keefster at that point.
Like LA Above I´m curious of the boots.
Ove did it again.

I suppose Råsunda show is their second stadium show ever; the first was a day before in Helsinki. They seemed to fill up the stadiums in those early attempts quite strangely. In Helsinki the 'field' was left totally uncrowded, so the fans were digging the band in their seats from a 'safe' distance. I suppose the case was the same in Råsunda also. Anyway those scenes of the policemen and fans rioting looks very like a good ol' Rolling Stones show...

And the story of the Stones taking a subway to go to listen a particular Chuck Berry record is just.. unbelievable! Those were the days..
