It is late, but Julian Bream turns 80 today. He is one of the greatest guitarists ever, and one of the great musicians alive. I am sure there some fans of his on this board.

Absolutely. I attended a concert he did on the conservatory of Liège, I think it was in the early 8-tees, anyway before the car accident. He played some John Dowland Lute compositions, transcribed for classical guitar on this very occasion, and he brought the audience back to the renaissance spirit. Amazing feel.
