I am putting together a 'best of' disc from the tour. Certain songs (Let It Bleed, 6 Days On The Road, etc) were only played once so that is easy. Regarding the warhorses, would you all care to share your thoughts? I really loved Get Off My Cloud on this tour.. trying to figure out which version has Ronnie's harmonizing notes loudest in the mix.

What about lesser played but well-loved songs? Best version of Sway? CYHMK?

Don't worry, I'm sure there's room for two compilations and as mr_dja pointed out above we're still waiting for flacnvinyl's recordings from May so you'll probably be done before him ;-)

85 was a good year....

Yeah but Winning Ugly was a train wreck every night.


My picks from Toronto 1: SFM & Start Me Up (really!).
From Toronto 2: GOOMC (one of the only really good versions IMO), Worried About You, CYHMK, Doom N Gloom (if only for the Come On intro) & Satisfaction.

There was also a good ADTL from the west coast too....

I don't think they ever really nailed Sway though, sadly.

The best Midnight Rambler is a tough call, but I think the ones from earlier in the tour have an edge.

I figure from all 21 shows this year we should be able to compile a virtual set where Keith is actually "on fire" the whole time.
I'd like to hear that.

SMU and Miss You surprised me for how good they were...very fresh sounding.

On the other hand IORR and Brown Sugar, and SFTD were rote unfortunately.

Sway (might find a better qual version but i like the musicianship) - it's also kinda amusing seeing Jagger jumpin in and cutting up Mick Taylor's great lead
