"A band insider"....definitely worthy of a serious story, then.

Tabloid speak for 'its a slow news day, so we made this utter shite up but we'll try and give it credibility by saying someone who knows him told us'.

What's the point? Isn't it a common-law marriage anyway after 5 years? Don't they have kids already?

I think Mick learned his lesson after Bianca--if you don't marry your current partner, then you'll never have to get divorced. A wise business decision.

Easily the stupidest line of this is:

"But sources claim L’Wren, real name Luann Bambrough, has yet to feel accepted by the band’s inner circle, which has welcomed Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton, partner of guitarist Ronnie Wood’s son Jesse."

It did Jerry Hall and Jo Wood a load of good didn't it? Now if only Mick Taylor would marry Bill Wyman...

IMO L'Wren should not lower herself to pressure Mick to marry her. He's lucky to have her and he should realise this himself.

Why make vows for which you have a track record in breaking them?

Meaningless unless you mean it.

security for l'wren (and, potentially mick. someone's gotta take care of him when he finally gets old)

L'Wren has her own very successful career, I doubt she needs security and Mick has doting children who will take care of him, if he needs it.

With his charm, and money, I have no doubt that he can call on any number of people who would be happy to change his sheets.

Unless he's getting sentimental in his later years, I doubt he wants to get married again. It was a disaster for him both times he tried it before.

This is The Sun, or whatever the f** it's called. These rags look for any gossip when things are going well or there is no controversy.
L'wren is secure and Mick seems happy. They've got to find some kind of 'dirt' and if they can't, they'll twist things around.

thought common-law rules kick in after 10 years? depends where you are I guess but 10 years is considered a long-term relationship in the US & laws do protect including social security. so all mick has to do is sit tight & let more time march by. cool smiley

"Although the terms common-law wife or husband are frequently used to describe a couple who live together, these relationships do not have legal recognition."

I wonder if it's true that L'Wren is pestering him to marry her. If it is true, she blew it!
