thing is, the Stones don't like the GRRB thing and haven't been introduced that way since 69. more likely, they'll do the same thing they always do.

It should be like Andy Kershaw introducing Johnny Cash at Glastonbury 1994.

I see before me an overweight straightjacket, below average tall, waving his arms and body, shouting out;

LADIES & GENTLEMEN, PLEASE GIVE A BIG WELCOME TO THE GREATEST ROCK N ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD, THE ROLLING STONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- followed by a tremendous cheer from the audience...

I dont think they put up much of an objection and havent exactly been the most modest bunch ever since, in fairness.

Too true!grinning smiley

However, the grandkids are in for a bit of a jaw-dropping surprise this weekend.

As for their intro, I'm sure it will be the same as on the tour thus far:

"Ladies and gentleman, would you welcome please, The Rooollliiinnng Stones!!"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones!"

No hype: Let the music supply all appropriate superlatives.

I don't give a damn how they are introduced. I just hope they don't embarrass themselves. And us!

No introductions on a festival stage. Their music is their introduction.

They ought to leave that idiotic film away.

What´s the opener tonight?
Posted by: RawIguanaCologne ()

I think it´s accurate to ask, for Jagger made it clear he wants a total bang for the start. "Strat Me Up" or "Brown Sugar" maybe?

And what effect will it have on the ongoing setlist?

Probably Get Off of My Cloud, same as at every show since 11/29/12.
