This website tells about the rumor too and is based on the older rumor. Touring would begin in the first quarter of 2014:

Aahh, ok.

You're right, the with video screens wrapped stage was a nice idea. Maybe it's even better without the trees and the speakers should not hang in the screen.

Apparently Ronnie's just been on the radio in the UK saying the machine would get back into motion in February ;-)

The Sun has taken Ronnie's "hopefully" comment to BBC Radio 6 - minus the credit, of course - and pronounced it confirmation of a 2014 tour.

NME picked up on the non-story, prompting "no firm plans yet" comment from a band spokesperson.

Ronnie: "[…] we are going to capture it before it stops totally."

Remembers me on the 1998 press conference at the NY Brooklyn Bridge.
Mick has been asked: "Will this gonna be your last Tour?" And Keith replied: "Yes, these. And the next five."

Let's counting - after the Bridges to Babylon Tour we had: No Security Tour, Licks Tour, A Bigger Bang Tour as well as 50 & Counting Tour. 2014 will be then the 5th Tour.

It might(!) be that the Tour next year is the last big World Tour. If the next Tour after 2014 takes place 5 years later, then will Charlie be 78 years old and Keith 75 years.
It's possible that the Scarf plays then not only the Intro ..... winking smiley

This means not, that the Stones will stop. They'll never stop. But a new big World Tour after 2014 will be questionable.

Ronnie Wood has revealed that The Roling Stones are planning a world tour for 2014.

According to The Sun, the guitarist revealed that the band will get together in February next year for another run of shows. The band's last gigs were in July this year (2013), when they played two sold-out headline dates at London's Hyde Park. However, a band spokesperson has revealed to NME that there are "no firm plans yet".

"While the big wheel is rolling we are going to capture it before it stops totally," he told the paper. He added that the band were overwhelmed by the reaction to their 50th anniversary gigs, which included their debut performance at Glastonbury festival. "Everybody had a smile on their face, which was brilliant," he said.

Last month (September 4), the band announced plans to release their Hyde Park gig on DVD and Blu-Ray in November. The film, titled 'Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live', will be released on November 11 and captures the band's full performance, a full two-hour set plus backstage footage. A live album recorded during the shows has already been released.

The tracklisting to 'Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live' is:

'Start Me Up'
'It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It)'
'Street Fighting Man'
'Ruby Tuesday'
'Doom And Gloom'
'Honky Tonk Women'
'You Got The Silver'
'Happy'
'Miss You'
'Midnight Rambler'
'Gimme Shelter'
'Jumpin’ Jack Flash'
'Sympathy For The Devil'
'Brown Sugar'
'You Can’t Always Get What You Want'
'(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction'

They need to get the marketing machine for the Hyde Park-DVD rolling. They have to be in the news, And what's better news than having Ronnie talking about a new tour?So I don't believe any tour news right now. Not just three weeks before a release is scheduled.

The Sun tour "story" is rubbish. Hasn't stopped it from tearing across the interwebs, though.

What Ronnie said - to BBC Radio, not The Sun:

"Hopefully we're gonna rehearse again next year...next February." "There's a few offers on the table, but nothing concrete yet."

So this is what is "confirmation" of a tour? Ronnie hopes they will get together again, but no concrete plans?

So we can guess:
Rehearsals in February
Australia in March
South America in April
Europe in May/June
Maybe Hyde park again in July
and maybe North-America in autumn

That would be a great stones year.

Don't forget Japan in February/March. Or are they busy with the many Bonustracks on their Discs? winking smiley

I don't think that the Stones will play Hyde Park again next year, maybe another 44 years later .....
