I don't get all the love for Worried About You.If it was such a good song, why didn't it make the cut on Black and Blue?

Because they put crap like Melody and Cherry Oh Baby on it instead. Imagine B&B with Slave and WAY. A much better album, imo...

I had thought they might want to end the tour with a bang but I guess not.....I wentto the first Philly show..I really really wish I'd gone to the second.. I'm sorta glad I passed on DC... at those prices you really should be getting a little more I think... they should have had buddy guy up there..at the very least

I'm imagining it with ten songs and nothing gets cut.

I agree, though I don't think Melody is crap. (Charlie doesn't quite get the reggae beat on Cherry, though, like he did later on Send It to Me and Feel on Baby, and whoever plays on Too Rude.) Worried About You and Slave are each better than every other track on BB, IMO.

+ wasn't Start Me Up from these sessions? winking smiley

Philly friday was a party. No way DC on a Monday night would come close, actually no way a DC show would top a Philly show period.

Fantastic shows. As Keith would say - hate it when you leave. #stones50

Glad the last show was just a "regular" show.

Anything else, would have fueled/confirmed rumors of this being their
last US appearance.

It's not.

Can't believe the whiners/haters.
If DC "got screwed" the screw me anytime anywhere.

HOPE TO SEE YOU IN THE FALL!! )))))

I think is what most fans want to say

Very different show compared to Philadelphia number two. 2 1/2 hours nearly perfect. Tonight was much much shorter and something odd sounding guitars at times. I guess the sticky on this forum about MT playing on more songs did not work. sad smiley

Wow- does seem a little light for the last show. Toronto 2 sounds like one of the shows of the tour. Glad I was there....

I went to both Philly 2 and DC, and both were really good. The people complaining about the DC show must have been following it by setlist online; it was hardly average. It had only 21 songs (no guest and no CYHMK), but, apart from the false start on IORR, they smoked. They seemed tighter and more efficient than in Philly. Ronnie sounded fine. I could have done without so many falsetto songs, however. Three is pushing it.

The Philly show tended to ramble and meander. Gimme Shelter nearly fell apart and seemed like it would never end. There were also some whopper mistakes: Jagger way off key on the Emotional Rescue falsetto and in Brown Sugar, and Keef starting the second solo in Sympathy in the wrong key. Don't confuse longer duration with higher quality.

The official setlist pic looks to be taken on stage just before the show started - see the front row of the Pit peering over the edge of the stage in the background?

I'm sure you are, I'm glad I was at the show I was at. Would you have been less happy with the show you saw if they did different stuff tonight? What's the connection?

Not the most exciting tour. They promised so much more Mick Taylor, at least Keith did, and delivered so little. The best night was LA 2. Out of all the concerts on this tour, DC was another one. Not even a special guest to grouse about. Bill, you were smart, again.
