The Sopranos was one of my favorite shows, and Gandolfini's 'Tony Soprano' was a great character.

He had a new baby, too. How sad.

WOW! I am stunned. Totally didn't see this coming. I am a huge fan. A great actor. He was also a good, quirky character actor. He was nice in Zero Dark Thirty. Sad, RIP James.

this one hits home.. i think his age - 51- now that i'm 42 seems young... and the fact he had an 8 month old daughter...

Saw him in Killing them Softly a couple of weeks ago.
And I thought: hey, that's nice to see good ole Tony Soprano back.
He'll always be Tony Soprano. Brilliant acting for six seasons in a row. That's some achievement.

Shocking news indeed. Very suitable with Thru and Thru. The Sopranos did feature a bunch of Rolling Stones songs that made the series even more special in my opinion.

Gandolfini is actually in the audience in that show.
They show him on Four Flicks. I think during Satisfaction. He has a beard and is wearing a bandana.

Now there definetly won't be a Sopranos movie. Shit....
