Great! Seems to me that "Doom And Gloom" is getting stronger and stronger as the tour progresses. I love that number!!

Yep, hence it made the cut (barely) for the "Rare Songs" in the "50th Audio Archive" [www.iorr.org] ;-) A good thing because there would have been nothing to add there. BTW we already have two sources (from Dime) for last night's show in the archive, including one from the Tongue Pit, amazing!

As a side note Chuck joined the Stones for the 1982 European Tour AFAIK so that's 31 years, not 33 ;-)

Last night was one of the loudest concerts I've been to in my 30 years of going to shows!!!!

Midnight Rambler absolutely blew my mind. I'm still picking up the pieces

Sorry - I'd got as far as talking about the hordes of DF-worshippers and then Doom & Gloom kicked in and they became hordes of zombies... If they are, then I'm one too because I do like it - it just wins the online vote too often to be plausible.

only the second time this tour?

Yes....4th time. I never have trusted the fan vote. When a country guest is scheduled, I vote for the hardest rocker on purpose. If we could just concentrate on music and not gimmickry, this tour might be getting a better rap.

Country sounds so much better when you leave your hat on.

My own feeling is, if someone only pumps sunshine, it's likely not an opinion I want to hear.

No kidding, look what that attitude ended up doing for the housing market. Reality is far more interesting, anyways.

whats going on here? did they drop a song?

It sure looks like it, getting lazy at the end of the tour as they have done in the past.

Trimming the non-warhorse fat off the shows in time for the shorter festival gigs coming up!

The 3-song spot from songs 5-7 are the only songs that Mick mixes up out of the 20 songs he sings most nights. Thats now down to two songs. One of which is usually the duet.

I hope they bring it back to 22 or even 23 for the final two shows of the US. They really need to mix it up. Play memory Motel

Was MR 2-3 minutes longer than usual yesterday? Not that I think that was the reason for skipping a song, but anyway...

Even worse, it used to be 4 songs before Emotional Rescue became a regular showcase for the Mick & the sidemen.

"Get that hat off! This isn't Texas!" ...

Are still there localistic strifes in the USA? Or it was just a joke? Something between the two versions, perhaps?

After being upgraded from the nosebleeds to the 15th row my opinion may be a little slanted, but I thought it was a really good show. Yes, I wish there were more non warhorses. Yes, I took a piss during Emotional Rescue. Yes, I wish the special guest was more of Mick Taylor. However, I was really impressed by the band.

I didn't have a lot expectations of Keith's playing, but it was quite impressive. He played rhythm guitar....loud...

Mick Taylor was great. I have never seen him with the Stones so that was my real treat, and Rambler was really special. Mick and Keith actually seemed to have a lot of interplay.

If I paid $400, maybe I would be feeling different. Actually, I wouldn't have gone. But for $85 bucks, I had an amazing night.

Third show of this year, best crowd of all, I thought.
Midnight Rambler was timed at 15 minutes, tremendous!!
I think they did start a little late.
Ketih did seem energized, Mick happier than usual, came around the
tongue rim many times.

Yes, Chicago 2 setlist was far superior. I think they did start a little late.
Hoping Philly 2 gets a great show--I won't be there though <sniff>

I know this video has been posted before but here is my shot from the pit. Interesting moment at 4:03, Mick returns to the mic at the end of Ronnie's solo and kinda biffs him out of the way. If you listen closely you can even hear the guitars make contact. Afterwards Ronnie had this "oops" look on his face.

Great show! Bummed they shortened the setlist again. They could have added just another 4-5 minutes and thrown in another gem from the 68-72 era or Some Girls track like they have been for most every show.

Really pissed about the apparent rigging of the website choice song. No way Dead Flowers was chosen. That's probably the only song Paisley knew how to play. Then let him guest on that and choose another song and why Wild Horses yet again when we could have had No Expectations, a song that has NEVER been played in Philly, that's right, NEVER.

This was my 16th show, but first on this tour. Band was very good and Mick was awesome as usual.

Lots of fun with a lot of neat, friendly people from all over the East Coast, not just Philly. Probably my last because of ticket prices, but if it was my last, it was a great ending to a great ride with the Greatest Band on the planet.

Is there a reason they dropped a song?
Did they start late?

A pity they dropped a song from the most intresting part of the show.

They want to adjust their setlist to the festival format for Hyde Park - there are then only 19 songs and will probably be all warhorses ...... winking smiley
